FoxNews reporterette says that the Justices hammered both the US attorney and Med’s attorney on why they think international law trumps Texas law.

Hearing is now concluded and Justices are in deliberation.

Treaties do not trump the Constitution. For all its wording the treaty cannot repeal the 10th amendment. Texas can do what it wants.

I wasn't justifying what he did I was simply pointing out *why* he probably did it.

Personally I think it would be a simple thing to declare illegals "invaders" and not simply lump them with tourists who happen to get busted while jaywalking.

"Before the US Constitution became just another piece of paper to be ignored, states retained all those rights not specifically given to the federal government, and we were all better off for it."

Absolutely.

“But..I am not going to hang this President out to dry because I disagree with him on a couple of things while agreeing with him on a majority of items.”

Have you heard that old Aggie joke about Runnin’ dumba$$?

That’s who you remind me of.

I’ve lost all faith in Bush!

I didn’t cast my vote for the President of Mexico.

Well, I'm not against open borders, or rather- NAFTA. I am against selling out our sovereignty. We can have good trade agreements which govern trade, there's nothing wrong with that.
People go to far and call that "Open borders" and that just isn't so.

Does anyone notice the irony of this?
With Bush it is ‘all about the law’ that was signed with the international community.
The American ‘laws’ that say this guy should have been kept out and shouldn’t have been here in the first place doesn’t matter.

The politicians make it more and more obvious everyday whose side they are on.......and it is not America or American citizens.

HOUSTON COP: We saw you kill those 37 people, 3 cats, 4 of those little weiner dogs and you pooped on the hood of our police car! Put the macine gun down immediately!

BAD GUY: Hey (grabbing crotch), screw you cops I'm from Liechtenstein!

HOUSTON COP: Oh yea! The Principality of Liechtenstein was established within the Holy Roman Empire in 1719; it became a sovereign state in 1806. Until the end of World War I, it was closely tied to Austria, but the economic devastation caused by that conflict forced Liechtenstein to enter into a customs and monetary union with Switzerland. We know all about that country and its international treaties! It's legislative branch is a unicameral Parliament or Landtag, members are elected by direct, popular vote under proportional representation to serve four-year terms! Now quit sawing that kid in half and put the chainsaw down!

BAD GUY: Oh, I meant that I'm from Estonia! Yea! Estonia! And I snuck in yesterday! Up yours! Could you throw me that bloody machete? The one next to the dead squirrels. I dropped it!

HOUSTON COP: Estonia? We don't know anything about Estonia. Is that part of the old Soviet Union? Damn! Before you cut off that guys other leg could you maybe tell us where the nearest Estonia embassy is? We need to check with them. Oh man! Don't run away! Hey! Hey! At least clean up this mess! (YELLING) Good thing for you we just got a call about a guy who is stealing food out of the Wal-Mart dumpster. He's supposed to be Canadian and under the US treaty with Candada we can..........

Shit like this is one reason that I changed my long-time party affiliation from Republican to "NF", Not Affiliated, what Pennsylvania categorizes as Independent.

President Bush's demands in the Medellin murder case ...are "bizarrely grotesque,"

"Bizarrely grotesque" accurately describes GWB's dealings with anything even remotely related to Mexico.

Teachers, throw away all your political science textbooks detailing the Constitution - they're now obsolete. We've evolved....

“Don’t hold your breath ‘bro.”

I’m not, Marine! LOL

And after watching the “debates” last night,
I’m not encouraged...
I like Thompson eventhough he’s not quite as conservative as I would like, but MAN! he looks like 30 years of bad road. (too many years of Jack Daniels)LOL
And I like Hunter & Tancredo(who didn’t have his best perfromance) but neither has hit above “3” on any polls...

where are all the good Marines out there to run for public office??
Lord knows we need a presidential “wartime consigliere!”
