Warm Fuzzy Wednesday Poetry
The Watcher
I can feel a sudden sharpness of Autumn in the breeze
As it sweeps across the tall Grass and swirls through the Trees
Telling me that the pleasant warmth of Summer will soon fade away
Ushering in a season made for me to work and run and play
For I am a Scottish Fold who thrives in the out of doors
With paws that were not made to glide across Wooden Floors
And a pronounced preference for Barns and over grown fields
Prowled slowly to find what mysteries they may yield
Whether it is an anxious Colt or Birds up in a Tree
Upon my comfortable Throne there is always something new for me to see
Sitting silent and stoic, timeless as the slowly setting Sun
There's something moving, so should I wait or investigate on the run?
