Why was this family, from Nancy Pelosi’s hometown, chosen?

They were in a car accident, right? So why doesnt the auto insurance pay for the medical expenses? Or did they forego auto insurance, too, like they did health insurance? I just asked that question in another thread. Does anyone have an answer?

The only reason it is an issue is because their son wants what’s in my wallet.
I’m curious as to whether the grandparents, as part of their estate planning, have taken advantage of annual gifting and if so, to what extent.
It could certainly boost their son’s cash flow considerably and tax-wise not be considered annual income to the family, right?
Normally, I’d say it’s none of my damn business what any of them do with their money but in this case I think it’s a fair question considering they claim to need mine too.

I suspect that the collision was their fault (whichever parent was driving) and that they only had the minimum amount of MedPay. Either that or the legal case resulting from the collision is still in litigation.
We were rear-ended about 20 years ago, and our MedPay at the time was only $5,000. It barely covered our medical expenses, though none of us had a hospital stay. MedPay pays those expenses right away, and then when you finally settle with the other guy who was at fault, all those expenses go into your pocket.
Since then, we’ve carried $100,000 MedPay, just in case.

Just ask the mom-and-pop Cafe Press owners who got those cease-and-desist letters from MoveOn.orgs lawyers for daring to defend Gen. David Petraeus.Wow. I just bought one of those Cafe Press t-shirts, and didn't even realize Moveon had sicked their lawyers on that shirt-selling site.
Proving once again that the leftist loonies are the TRUE torch-carrying dolts of censorship.

I’ve seen talk that they paid for the two tuitions to the private school ($40,000+ a year). Some people think that the family’s priorities might be a bit ‘mixed up’, if you see what I mean.

It's an issue when scumbag Democrats want to reach into my wallet.
Exactly. Let them whine and go on bended knee to their family, not the taxpayer. No one should be immune from criticism. Our government is a bureaucratic nightmare, why further prop up this tyrannical force.
