As I said yesterday in another thread, the fix is in. The Party Bosses have decided that Rudi IS to be THE Annointed One.

Enjoy the circus, folks. What a farce.

Even if it were true that there were just one set of bosses picking a particular candidate, that doesn't mean that everyone is going to go along with the bosses.

And even if you believe that the vast majority of US citizens are sheeple that will follow the bosses, that doesn't prevent a significant percentage of folks from voting against the wishes of the bosses.

My mind is made up and I will be voting for Tancredo in the primary no matter what the bosses slip into my coffee or what electromagnetic waves they transmit to my non-alumninum-foil draped braincase.

The debate today showed Rudy, Mitt and Fred well above all the others. They were all serious adults debating important policies. Sorry about Tom but he should stick to the House where he can actually win a seat. The top 3 are the ones voters by polls say are their faves. We shall see in the primaries and we at least know all 3 of them are better than Her Highness.

As cynical as I’ve become< I still know that the bosses don’t always get what they want. Most of the time; yes. But not always. I just don’t think the people will accept the big “G”. Unless the votes are actually tinkered with, he won’t win.

There’s a full court press right here on FR, bashing any and all over the head if they dare exhibit an unwillingness to hand their votes over to Julie Annie.

It’s not just here. I saw it for the first time the other night, when Pawn Hannity had Dobson in the crosshairs. Pawn played his hand like a chump. He might as well come out wearing a “Rudi is IT, what part of IT don’t you get?” sweatshirt.

I’ve long been of the opinion that P.H. will say whatever he’s instructed to say. That it seems that he was instructed to apply full spin to Rudi — THIS early in the game — well, I found that a sickening mix of curious, and disheartening.

Now, we have Bartlett coming out, damning ALL with faint praise, EXCEPT for Rudi. Hmm... (I will confess that as I read the article, and watched him chopping each candidate off at the knees, with the most artful faint praise I’ve seen in a dog’s year, I found myself wondering how he would place the golden crown on Julie Annie’s head. Note, I said “how”, not “IF.” I would have been surprised if he HADN’T annointed Rudi. Once you realize that the fix IS in, you’re not surprised to see the big league players working on topic.)

As for those who suggest that the party bosses don’t always get what they want, all I’ll say is that they get it often enough to make it TOO often. And I’m sure Bobdole would agree.

Oh, well, it’s not like I’m accustomed to having MY vote matter anyway. I “live” in Michigan.

I watched the Travis Smiley debate where the so-called big three decided it was beneath them to attend.

In his reponses, Tom Tancredo was always on-point, succinct, intelligent, and commanding in his answers.

I spent years in Colorado when Tom was running the Independence Institute. He was, and still is, capable of conversing intelligently on any subject of importance to the future of the U.S.

The only thing he lacks is executive experience. But then the current occupant of The Oval Office had an abundance of executive experience and has still been unable to keep the government in check or set the priorities right.

In any case I vote in California so there is no way for me to vote strategically. My vote is not going to take California away from Rudy and give it to Mitt or Fred.

My vote is for the man who I most would like to be POTUS.

If by some miracle Tom ended up as president then even you would admit that the length and amount of cheering that would occur on FreeRepublic would be beyond imagining.

If Rudy, Mitt, or John ... or even Fred got elected, we would mostly just be saying "Whew! We sure got lucky and dodged that Hitlery bullet."

We’d probably be prudent to say it in our best “Shemp Smith in NOLA on Night of Katrina” voices.

The “dodge” may turn out to be no better than that which we avoided. Maybe even worse (especially if we do manage to retake Congress. Gridlock IS your friend!)

The Bush legacy lives on. Brownie, Harriet Mears, and now Danny Boy Bartlett.

Danny Boy Bartlett fails to mention that the president he served will go down in history as setting the conservative movement back years.... if not decades.
