No mention of "back-alley" abortions, you'll note.
There was a mention of back alley abortion and self-induced abortion, noting that it was far more dangerous than physician induced abortion.
The article definitely has an “abortion law reform” take but the illustrations are of a fetus at least three months in size and further than that in proportion, very human looking and not the gilled, tailed blob so popular in today’s illustrations on the subject. The fetus is also called the “child.”

Roe won’t be overturned until far fewer women seek abortions.

Isn’t this just propaganda from the house organ of Planned Parenthood or the Kinsey Institute or whatever? The numbers are bogus, a bunch of hooey. Why post it?
Just thought it was an interesting historical read...
Further proof of Harry Blackmun’s disgusting lies throughout his Roe v Wade decision, especially about when life begins

The 1.2 million figure was a lie from the start. PP-hood was seeking ways to increase their business as soon as they were franchised. Nathanson revealed their demonic side when he got saved. They will never enjoy the dark again.
Good points Marvin.

Make both parents equally responsible (both financially AND hands on care) for the child they create.
Thanks for the PING paltz!
The evidence against abortion is higher than Everest.
aw heck... it was ur post to begin with :)
I was talking about this thread.
BTW someone posted another Modern Mechanix thread months ago that also exposed abortion way back....
These major conclusions were offered by thirty-eight of the nations foremost experts after an international conference on abortion, sponsored by the Planned Parenthood Federation of America.
Anyway
The number of abortions pre-Roe were almost certainly exaggerated. The first year abortion was legal nationwide, I believe there were something like 500,000 of them. Over the next few years the annual number grew to over a million. In other words, legalization surely more than doubled the number of abortions.
You can never completely stop every abortion, but banning it would cut the number in half, and would make it harder for women who do not want abortions to be pressured into them. Because the law in such cases would not be on the side of the abortionist, they’d think twice before performing an abortion on a woman who might turn them in later. One of the many negative aspects of legal abortion is it has sharply increased the number of abortions performed on women who don’t really want one. When abortion was illegal, nearly all the women who got them probably wanted them and probably were pretty cold-hearted women. Legal abortion has allowed boyfriends, parents, school counselors, and others to pressure kind-hearted women and girls into millions of abortions. These women suffer especially hard from these killings.
Also, there are now pro-life crisis pregnancy centers all over America. Those didn’t exist prior to Roe.
