It is time for the Ron Paul cowards to find their own website. I tire of these children. This site supports the war on terror....period. That is not your place to say this. I am split between Hunter and Thompson, but I know that this site was built by libertarians as well as conservatives. I know this because, under my original nickname, I was one of the first chapter presidents for Michigan Freepers.

Maybe they should have a follow up question to Paul, will you support the Democrat nominee because they promise to end the war?
***I think these kinds of questions should be PREVIEW questions. If you don’t answer it positively, you lose your slot in this REPUBLICAN debate. Rudy and RP both should have that put to them in order to continue in these debates.

If it is a matter of national security, then the President acts to protect the country. He does not call his lawyer first to get permission.

Yes, you are correct, maica, and so was Romney. Brices has not thought this through. The Constitution does not permit the President to make spontaneous war on countries. The Constitution, not the President, is the law.
The question is whether or not the Iraq war authorization can properly extend to Iran. A President who is interested in the well being of the US does not capriciously flout the Constitution by taking casual action. He must consult the legal advisors as to whether or not he is authorized to act. To fail in this responsibility would be to gut the intent of the Constitution with respect to war making powers.
Romney gave an excellent answer. Brilliant, actually, because in the pressure of that moment it would be far to easy to wave a hand and ignore the US Constitution. He chose not to.

I noticed on Hardball that they keep saying why Rudy should and will win the Rep. nomination.I do not watch Hardball much, but Rudy's buddy Hannity keeps saying pretty much the same thing on his show.
