Surprising segment .. further into his program .. he described how he got into a long period of deep grief and heartbreak over the loss of his dog.
He was really about in tears talking about it .. had me weepy.
He said he was honestly so close to ending his radio career, he was that destroyed with grief. He then related how much more horrendous would it be to lose a child, spouse, sibling ..and the folks who have children fighting this war, and how tough loss is and that we all have to deal with it.
He said he got tremendous support from Rush and Hannity, etc. ... who comforted, encouraged and counseled him not to quit, and so he picked himself up and went on.
His new book is about his beloved dog, Sprite. He’s really a big softie at heart about pets, and will even be opening a new blog site for folks to talk about their pets.
