On the other hand, the story doesn’t make much sense because even if we have broken their security (as I’m sure we have), we certainly would not turn the excerpts over to ABC. And if we did, then maybe we’ve got traitors in the CIA, as well.

Many years ago a very senior Brit spook remarked abiut the CIA that "the United States has let loose upon an unsuspecting world a horde of demented boy scouts.

The Company acquired the nickname "The Boy Scouts" in certain circles.

But is the problem really with the CIA? I had thought that elint was the responsibility of the NSA.

One of the biggest mistakes Bush made was not to immmediately fire all the Clinton cronies at the CIA. This should have been done on his first full day in office.
