My 12 yo granddaughter, named Rachel, was taken by her mom, (my daughter) to the ER last night with a bad stomach ache and a fever. Her dad, my son-in-law, stayed home with the other two kids.
At 11pm they called me to come and stay with the younger children because Rachel was going into surgery. By the time they operated, it had been seeping pus (had burst) and now she is very very sick. She's on two IV antibiotics, glassy-eyed, feverish, and sort of out of it.
I'm so upset! She waited 2-1/2 hours in a very slow ER--in agonizing pain, and now this! They don't know when she'll be released--certainly not till she's without a fever for 24 hours; at least her kidneys are functioning okay right now.
Please pray for her recovery--I ask not for myself, but for her sake, and my daughter and her husband who are worried sick, and so is her little sister.
Thank you so much. I've known people who've had this happen, and none of them look as sick as poor Rachel does.
Poor little girl! Prayers for her complete recovery.
Thank you so much; Rachel and her classmates are all letting their hair grow so they can donate it to “Locks of Love” next spring...she is part of a very unusual group of truly idealistic and loving young girls.
prayers up
She sounds like such a great kid.
Prayers for you as well, sounds like you've had a rough go of things lately. Please keep us posted as to how she's doing!
Lord watch over this child! Prayers up!

Prayers for Rachel. My daughter had the same operation when she was about that age.
I love it! I donated about 18 months ago — around 13” of hair. I’m growing it back out now — I think I need about another 4” to do another donation — so probably about the same time Rachel and her friends will be donating! :) But I’m old (35!) — I just love doing it — my hair may look frazzled most of the time but I don’t care — if it helps a kiddo in need then it’s worth it.
:)
Prayers and thoughts to Rachel — my hubby went through this a few years back and spent a week in the hospital (but that’s a long, long story! LOL) — he’s fine and she will be too!

O Lord our God, Lover of mankind, Who by word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every malady and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to this Your servant Rachel and cure her of every sickness of which she is grieved; lift her up from her bed of pain, and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your Will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to Father, and to Son, and to Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Prayers up.
May the benevolent Lord protect this child.
“Prayers up for this sweet child that she be touched by God’s healing mercy and recovery. It’s so hard to see a child suffer”
In Jesus’ Name
Amen
About fifteen years ago my mother had a burst appendix. Being a tough old bird, she wouldn't go to the hospital until she was near death. They eventually operated on her, but during the prep, they pushed a tube out the side of her throat - compounding the problem and requiring additional surgery. She survived and thrived for another ten years. I'm sure your young whipper-snapper will be fine.
Lord send your angels to watch over this child, guide the doctors, calm the hearts of her family so they trust that you love them and will care for them. Heal her and make her well so she may do your will.
I’ll pray for her. Good luck!
She is in my prayers tonight.
All of you are in my prayers.
