Are we now trusting the NYT to define an “evangelical?”
Basically, they take those who agree with Dobson, and say they are “evangelicals.” The rest of us don’t qualify.
“Dobson on Hannity tonight....Hannity trying to convince Dobson is A OK. LMAO. Not happening Sean”
You mean Hannity is trying to convince Dobson that Rudy is A OK?
By nominating Giuliani it is you who will break the coalition. You know what nominating an abortion supporter will do and you are advocating it anyway.
Dobson on Hannity tonight....Hannity trying to convince Dobson that GUILIANI is A OK. LMAO. Not happening Sean
And he WON’t support Fred either!
Sean whining Hitlery will win, Hitlery will win...Everybody’s Scaredy Scaredy pants of Hitlery....geesh.
Dobson NOT backing down.
Samuel Johnston:
It is apprehended that Jews, Mahometans (Muslims), pagans, etc., may be elected to high offices under the government of the United States. Those who are Mahometans, or any others who are not professors of the Christian religion, can never be elected to the office of President or other high office, [unless] first the people of America lay aside the Christian religion altogether, it may happen. Should this unfortunately take place, the people will choose such men as think as they do themselves.
[Elliots Debates, Vol. IV, pp 198-199, Governor Samuel Johnston, July 30, 1788 at the North Carolina Ratifying Convention]
In my opinion- Dobson’s gone way over the top.
Every time I listen to him I become more angry.
Dobson says he knows it’s a difficult situation- but he’s lived his live on principles and he won’t stop now.
And yet he understands that this very attitude and resulting votes will give us Hillary. THEN where will he be with his principles? Satisfied, but with MORE aborted babies.
They will never participate in the election of Hill and Bill for another 2 terms.
Never.
Thanks for clarifying that.
I agree with Dobson on sticking to principles, if that means Hildebeast wins, that also means that the Republicans who ran had no core principles.
Rudy peed in the NRA face, and now we are supposed to buy a conversion to principles?
Relativism is a Hillary trait, it doesn’t suit us.
I don’t always go along with Sean- but in this instance- I completely agree with him.
Split the GOP vote in the general election and we WILL get Hillary.
And just what kinds of justices will she nominate for SCOTUS?
THINK ABOUT IT.
What the blinder-laden evangelicals (I am an evangelical, but not blinder-laden) need to realize is that the NYT here is begging the Right to split.
Ask yourself: Do I want to do what the NYT wants me to do?
I am as Conservative as Dobson but, his third party, or sit at home routine puts abortion judges on the court.
Dobson thinks when Hitlery wins it will mobilize the conservatives.
There will be no other chances, we are in the war for our lives and this idiot wants to cut off his nose to spite his face.
Remember 4 yrs. of Hitlery will put abortion judges on the court. It is to bad the Dobson people are pro abortion.
Then you should avoid a split in the party and not support an abortionist.
He hasn't ruled out supporting Romney
Maybe since he has known RG for many years, being a NYer and all, he seems to be comfortable with him.
But, no way would SH not support the eventual nominee, he will work damn hard for whomever is nominated.
I don’t watch a lot of TV or listen to much radio, but you mentioned that Hannity is pushing Guiliani...have any of the other national conservative talk show hosts, or conservative TV puncits made their choice known?
The thing that gets to me about Dobson’s statements is that we know who he won’t vote for, we don’t know who he will vote for? Seems to me that if he’s ruled out Fred and Guiliani, that leaves Romney or McCain...I can’t imagine he’d support McCain, so then it’s Romney. And what does Romney have to do or not do to get a nod or “push” Dobson into a third party situation. It all sounds like a bit of political “blackmail” or juvenille behavior to me. Play our way or we’ll take our “marlbes” and go home.
Splitting the vote wouldn’t be an issue if there was united support behind a conservative in the primary, instead of the support being divided between a bunch of moderates.
I’m with Dobson on this....I’m not going to decide or be bullied into believing that one of the top tier RHINO’s is the only candidate who can beat Hillary.
No - you ask yourself!! If you, and I emphasize you, want to split the party and nominate Giuliani then it is you and no one else who will be splitting the party!
I’ll not support Guiliani in the primary, but as somebody else said on a thread the other day, if Bozo the Clown is running against Hillary, then I’m voting for Bozo for President...there is a lesser of two evils, and a third party candidate is not a viable option. We’ve been there, done that, and we got Clinton for 2 terms.
