Kos Moonbats-SCHIP family being Freeped!(We're "Swiftboating Them! ROTFLMAO!)
TCRLAF | 10-08-07 | ME!

Posted on 10/08/2007 1:49:08 PM PDT by tcrlaf

DEFINITION: Swiftboating; Speaking TRUTH in the face of Democrat Propoganda

The Idiots at Kos have a huge thread running on the exposure of the "SCHIP" family by Free Republic members, that Rush mentioned today, and it's utterly HILARIOUS!

They are freaking out that we would DARE to question thier "Facts"... "UPDATE #2 Whiskeyfire has a very informative blog on this too (hat tip nyseer courtesy of Atrios)

As the day goes on, bigger and bigger smear merchants are picking this up (including The Weekly Standard).

All are (of course) listing Free Republic as the mother source. This limits any culpability and fact checking of their own.

UPDATE #3 Michelle Malkin has this story up on her site, but she's done the extra step of going to Halsey Frost's business and quizzing his tenant on his political ideology. She also drove by the Frost home... ostensibly to see how much it was worth.

There are many points being brought up, amongst them whether it's right to bring children and anecdotes to a political debate.

I don't think that this is the issue. The issue is that the right wing, led by The Free Republic and picked up by Mark Steyn and Michelle Malkin are attacking the people that come out against their propaganda.

The Frosts aren't running for office; they are trying to live their lives after a horrible accident left their children with permanent disabilities.

Knowing the types of people that are involved in this Swift Boating, it's even more terrifying to know that this families personal records and address are going the rounds courtesy of Free Republic. If anything else happens to this family, I hope God will have mercy on their souls.

And then, we have the "lousy Freeper Troll"...

"the family likely did not purchase much auto insurance if they didn't purchase health insurance. They may have had minimum liability coverage which won't cover a week of ICU and a handful of surgeries. PIP insurance is usually a small amount - is 'no-fault' an unlimited coverage?"

How dare he insert things like FACTS into the discussion???

Just some insanity for you to peruse...

I agree on your correction, but if not these parents then the Democrats would have found another set. It was clearly their plan to hide behind a child

Absolutely, PJ.

Pierre...this is another excellent measure for separation. With this particular story, we've presented the facts and let them stand (or not) on their own.

Libs have distorted the facts and then hidden behind children. Pathetic, IMHO.

“That family has a Danish Modern designed kitchen, “

Check the dad’s occupation (other than John Denver clone)- he’s a cabinet maker.

He can’t make an expresso maker, and he didn’t get the granite from his backyard, but I bet he didn’t pay much for the cabinets. He could have made them himself.

Does not matter in the long run- seeing “poor people” in a better kitchen than 90% of the population is going to hurt the propaganda value considerably.

And, they are dressed pretty well, too.

Folks, this is a good time to remind you all to be careful with the info that is in your profiles. Back in 2004, I have a pretty thorough profile. Folks found me in a matter of a day or so. They had my address and phone number.

we better be DAMN SURE they are really poor and struggling.

Let's put this in a way dems can understand.
Children like this can't get help.

Because dems are too busy telling us we need to give money to kids like this.

When you start defining everyone as 'poor' and 'suffering', those who are truly in need hurt the worst because the resources that people may want to go to them are diluted down through all the $40k per year private school, $400k house middle class people the dems now claim are poor.

First off, the lies need to be countered. The Freepers are taking the line that the Frost family isn’t really “poor” because they send their kids to a private school. They also say that because he’s self-employed, he “chose not to give himself health insurance.”

I know that truth doesn’t stop them from lying, but if we could get our factual ducks in a row to rebut this nonsense, it would be useful. We need to get our hands on the facts of the matter, then we could then send the information and talking points on to the Frost’s lawmakers, who could use it as information to castigate the other side, e.g., “SOME republicans say that this fine entrepreneur deserves no health insurance because he went into business for himself! Well, wasn’t he following the American dream?!” etc. The info could also be sent to KO and other commentators with a wide audience, such as Paul Krugman?

Dunno, just thoughts off the top of my head.

If liberals hated America, they’d vote Republican.

"Conservatism is all about control. That's the only pin that holds this otherwise incomprehensible worldview together. Anyone not already firmly entrenched into the American aristocracy is a serf, and as such, we are subject to the random and whimsical proclamations of our superiors at any time and for any reason."

Insert "Liberalism" for the first word and you have the truth.

"I seem to recall another presentation of this story claiming the accident causing the injuries involved skidding on black ice and hitting a tree."

Then there is a police report and pictures because the vehicle didn't go anywhere else if that's the case. That's public stuff.

If a person receives a scholarship does that person have to pay the IRS a tax on the value? The man that caught Barry Bonds record breaking baseball was assessed a tax the next day.

“Rumblelizard” apparently has a hard time figureing out what the truth and that facts are...

They have a hard time understand that one is responsible for their own way in life through hard work etc...not by entitlement...they skip over that simple fact pretty quickly.

And it is further proof that if liberals actually understood what America stood for..individual opportunity along with accountability, defense of freedom, defense from tyranny, etc...they would vote Republican.

*sigh” liberals like this clueless clown will never understand...as the ole cliche goes...”you can lead a jackarse to water but...”

I am impressed that your sanity allows you to read their inane drivel...my heart goes out to you.

There was an “American Justice” on A & E about that woman. Not surprisingly, they do not rerun it very often.
