Well, we'll finally see for ourselves how he does. I'm looking forward to that. I've been very open minded on Fred Thompson, and he sounds very appealing. I hope he can deliver the goods. A good performance consistent with his conservative positions could make him the front runner.

A blunder could take the legs right out from under his campaign. He'll need to prove he can hold his own in a debate against clinton.

I may sound harsh, but I expect performance and results from anyone I support.

So, based on what you see in one television performance, despite all other positions on issues, speeches given, interviews given etc., if a candidate (Fred specifically in this case) misspeaks or somehow doesn’t measure up you’ll never take a second look at him, it’s over and done period.

I assume this tough standard will be applied to every other republican candidate. And I’m glad to see you aren’t in any way swayed by media productions and machinations.
