Why are people that are supporting Big Government (liberals) supporting Ron Pauls views on Iraq?

How do you know they're still supporting Big Gov't? Maybe they did some research and decided socialism isn't so great after all. And they also know that the Dims have no credibility on the war either. Even though Paul is somewhat wrong on the war at least he ain't jiving nobody.

EEE in post #94 has a very good point, and one that I can understand completely.

As far as I know, the FReepers who are saying that probably don't know for sure anyway.

IMO, many people are either mixed up or fooled by the hype coming out of the MSM, and really couldn't identify with any particular "movement". Most Americans, however are conservative to their soul, and already know what is right and what is wrong. Due to all the BS in the "popular media", they simply haven't had any good examples of "right" lately.

I'm sure many folks who routinely vote for dummycrats would not advocate for abortion, drugs, STD's, unmarried childbirth, loss of freedom, and loss of our national sovreignty, but have grown kind of numb over the years because they don't see a way out of it.

Until now.

Now there is at last a genuine alternative, and folks are getting excited.
