useful idiots. OBL is happy...........

The second part is no doubt true but I would modify the first part using Theresa Heinz Kerry's favorite modifyer, they're f-ing idiots. The thing they should understand is the part about Islam meaning "submission".

I'm all in favor of fighting but I will never be in favor of submission to these followers of a false religion and a false god based on the bazaar ramblings and rantings of a false prophet who was a thief and murderer (and who is no doubt roasting in the lowest part of Hell at this very moment). "May he burn in Hell Forever"...

Liberals prattling on about "the root" of what they don't understand.

I believe they would have said the same about Hitler and National Socialists.

John Sloboda is the Executive Director of the Oxford Research Group, an NGO that seeks to develop non-violent approaches to national and international security issues and is also one of the founders of the Iraq Body Count Project.

He is also Professor of Psychology and Honorary Research Fellow in the School of Politices, International Relations and the Environemnt (SPIRE) at Keele University, UK. Liberals believe that terrorism is caused by resisting it.

The corollary is obvious, do nothing, back off, leave the Jihadists alone and they will abandon the drive to establish a Caliphate and eliminate nonbelievers.

If Stalin had not resisted the Third Reich’s advances, Hitler would have retreated and returned the focus to North Africa.

It’s a nonsensical report.

Prior to the current War on Terror we had 9/11/01.

Not since.

Paul Rogers, the report's author and professor of global peace studies at Bradford University in northern England.

Nothing says credibility in military affairs like "Professor of Global Peace Studies" at a third tier university. /sarc

Clinton doing NOTHING fueled al-Qaeda. We are dealing with his 20,000 graduates and then some.

Six years after the September 11 attacks in the United States, the "war on terror" is failing and instead fuelling an increase in support for extremist Islamist movements, a British think-tank said on Monday.

Two items for the "British think tank," to think about. One, we haven't been hit again, and two, the jihadis are dying every day in Iraq, so that we don't have to kill them here.

Now can I have my million pound sterling grant?

Iraq coupled with intensive diplomatic engagement in the region, including with Iran and Syria.

It is always the same old BS

"Intensive Diplomatic Engagement " has replaced " Old Fashioned Diplomacy "

Probably the last person from whom I’d take advice on ANYTHING is a “professor of global peace studies.”

OBL himself stated that it was Clinton's gutless pull out from Somalia that emboldened AQ.

Picking one name at random and doing a Google search, I get this:

Frank N. von Hippel:

From 1993 to 1994, he was the Assistant Director for National Security in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

Yeah Yeah......and the war against Germany eventually included 12 year old boys and 60 year old men.

And if not for the two Nukes on Japan we would have been fighting Japanese men, women and children from 10 to 75 years of age.

In essence these idiots are saying that our war against Al Qaeda is only making more muslims join Al Qaeda. So I can rationalize that if we never declared war on terrorists and refrained from killing any Al Qaeda then by now, some 6 years after 911, Al Qaeda would have ZERO members??

It appears they're working with outdated information. Should say: He described the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq as a "disastrous mistake" which had helped establish a "most valued jihadist combat training zone" for al Qaeda supporters. Soon after, however, this training zone disappeared when civilian Iraqis could no longer tolerate the terror organization's inhuman savagery and allied with Coalition Forces to cleanse their lands of this cancerous defilement.

He sure did say that. I would like to make a banner out of your exact words and hang it from the House of Congress!

I think this is a rather complete repudiation of these useful idiots: http://davesim.blogspot.com/2007/09/dave-sims-blogandmail-363-september-9th.html excerpt: The founder of al-Qaeda in Mesopotamia (AQM) was Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who we can now gratefully describe as "the late". The first thing to notice about him is that he was in Iraq before we were. The second thing to notice is that he fled to Iraq only because he, and many others like him, had been driven out of Afghanistan.
