The president wants to enforce a decision by the International Court of Justice that found the convictions of Medellin and 50 other Mexican-born prisoners violated their rights to legal help as outlined in the 1963 Vienna Convention. Nothing to see here, just move along. Let's go post on the "Pray for President Bush" thread or the "Day in the Life" thread. Ooh, look at the President's dog Barney! He's swuch a widdle sweetheart!

IF it was anyone but a Mexican Bush would let them fry. What is it with him? He is selling America down the river because of his love of Mexicans/Mexico. They need to tell Bush to kiss off and zap this murderer.

Bush is a scumbag. His allegence to Mexico is greater than to America. The Dixie Chicks were right. I’m ashamed Bush is from Texas.

There’s one slight ray of hope. It seems the SCOTUS may be pi$$ed that Bush is inserting himself in court affairs. If the courts feel their power is stepped on, they may go against him. The bad thing is the Intl court wants a new trial, so they may think they have to defer to other judges.
My view is if any official, court or executive even mentions International courts or law, they need to face impeachment. They took an oath to uphold and defend American law. If they even give a whit about Intl law, they have abandoned their oath.

Can someone please explain to me how a treaty that was *not* ratified by 2/3 of the US Senate is binding upon the state of Texas?
