Who Made Hillary Queen? (What has she ever done to deserve this eminence?)
Washington Post ^ | October 7, 2007 | Geoffrey Wheatcroft

Posted on 10/06/2007 2:41:07 PM PDT by dennisw

Among so much about American politics that can impress or depress a friendly transatlantic observer, there's nothing more astonishing than this: Why on Earth should Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton be the front-runner for the presidency?

She has now pulled well ahead of Sen. Barack Obama, both in polls and in fundraising. If the Democrats can't win next year, they should give up for good, so she must be considered the clear favorite for the White House. But in all seriousness: What has she ever done to deserve this eminence? How could a country that prides itself on its spirit of equality and opportunity possibly be led by someone whose ascent owes more to her marriage than to her merits?

No doubt she has been a diligent senator, even if the cutting words of the New Republic's Leon Wieseltier about "the most plodding and expedient politician in America" ring painfully true, and no doubt her main Democratic rivals have only quite modest experience themselves: Obama's stint in the Illinois state legislature before entering the U.S. Senate in 2005, John Edwards's one term in the Senate. But both men are unquestionably self-made, and no one can say that they are where they are because of any kin or spouse.

Predictably enough, Sen. Clinton's husband has tried to defend her with his quicksilver tongue, speaking recently on BBC Radio here, where he's plugging his new book, and on television back home. Dynasties mean the kings of France, Bill Clinton told Tim Russert on "Meet the Press," whereas Hillary has had "a totally different career path" from his, "from a different political base" to a different "set of expertise areas."

Now Hillary Rodham Clinton has become a potential president because she is famous for being a wife (and a wronged wife at that).

What has Hillary Clinton ever done or accomplished? NOTHING! Compare to Mitt Romney and Rudy Guiliani who have verifiable track records. John McCain has an awful track record in the US Senate but at least he has one. That light weight Hussein Obama has done jack. That’s why he says all kinds of retarded stuff. The drive by media pampers him

Hillary has been elected a grand total of once! What has she ever done in the US Senate? No leadership shown there. She’s a cipher

Be a front. A front is a person who has no morals, is a liar, cheat, thief and will do absolutely anything for money and power.

The whole Dem starting bench is so weak that over at the WSJ Online, Peggy Noonan is reduced to finding gravitas in the likes of Joe Biden and Chris Dodd. In a serious country, none of them would be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

“How could a country that prides itself on its spirit of equality and opportunity possibly be led by someone whose ascent owes more to her marriage than to her merits?”

This country has done a mighty fine job of electing politicians who owe their ascents to things like marriage, family name, etc....

We’ve got the Kennedys, Clintons, Gores, Bushes, etc... quite a few of these fools have been elected without having any real merits...

What has Hillary ever done that make Joe Smith want to vote for her? Any vote for her is based on the image that she has and what she claims she will do which is more or less a Christmas wish list for Santa Claus. I vote for people who have done things. Not Hilary types who have never done anything and have a big damn mouth when it comes to criticizing George Bush and others who are doers.

Hillary is not a doer. She is a waddler

The fact the the RAT public would even consider electing these lightweights to lead the world’s only hyper power just shows how they are terminally brain dead. And I do mean that...

Given the money she made on a $1000 investment, I don't know why she ever became a low paid politician (cough, cough).

More and more the older I get and see how brain dead such a large percentage of the population is, I consider myself an elitist. How on earth one of my all-time heroes and most admired persons, Ronald Wilson Reagan, put his trust in the these terminally brain dead, I just can’t figure it out...

The Washington Compost is asking this question? Sheeyit. Look in the mirror, Compost. It's you and the NY Times and The LA Times and just about every major newspaper in just about every major city that wallows in her poop and declares it potpourri.

Then you add in ABC "News", NBC "News", SeeBS "News", C"N"N, MSNBC, etc., etc. and voila! you got Queen Hillary, Her Royal Majesty of the Dung Heap.
