I've been under a lot of stress in the last couple weeks - I'm not sure what I can say - the other night I got so upset I just wanted to leave FR - I thought I was strong but at the moment I'm really distraught - My father has been sick for a while - he has Parkinson's and something wrong with his liver I'm not sure what it is - a couple weeks ago my mother sent me an email and said they had to call 911 because he was "bleeding from his esophageal varises" and having to have his abdomen drained every 10 days to 2 weeks(ascities). She sent me an email saying that said "We have been toying with an idea to place a stint in his liver and give the blood a bypass around the liver...that would relieve the bleeds and the ascities. "The only problem is that since the blood was not filtered at all the toxins would probably be deposited in his brain and his skin therefore causing unbearable itching and encephalopathy and then the liver specialist says that that problem would be even harder to control than the problems he has now."
I guess I knew it was serious but I'm just confused and don't know what else to do except pray.
Just about an hour ago I got another email that seems worse.
"Please pray as Larry in ICU at Kingwood Hospital. The doctors were not sure he would make it through the night but he did. He is on a ventilator and we had to restrain his hands and he is not happy. This morning Glynn came to stay and relive me and Larry nodded that he knew Glynn was back. We were delighted to see that . He is not being medicated because that would slow down the his blood pressure....last night that was what sent him to the ICU...BP was 28/18 when they could finally get one. They have given him two units of blood and countless other medications. At one time I counted 6 bags plus the blood. He has an IV in each foot and in his arms too.
"I must get back to the hospital but am asking for all the prayers that I can get for him ... at least until the rest of the family can get here."
Love, Mom
PS. Larry I know that you cannot afford to make it and I don't expect you to. Just pray for your Dad with every breath you take.

I know I've been short-tempered in the last couple weeks and If I've wronged anyone I beg you to please forgive me. I've know many of you for years and I know that deep in my heart that prayers can be answered and that miracles are real. Please pray for my father - I love him and miss him so much.

O Lord our God, Who by word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every malady and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to this Your servant and cure him of every sickness of which he is grieved; lift him up from his bed of pain, and send down upon him Your great mercy, and if it be Your Will, give to him health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to Father, and to Son, and to Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.
