So, should viewers of Tuesday's Republican presidential debate expect an exchange of views between the candidates - or between the candidates and one of the event's moderators?
It's a fair question, given the jaw-dropping comments Thursday evening from MSNBC blowhard - and scheduled debate moderator - Chris Matthews.

McCain will love having Matthews moderate the debate, since Matthews is part of his political base.

Chris, that a positively stupid question. I know you are a Democrat Activist with a long history of working for the DNC, but try to pretend you actually are a journalist for the rest of this debate and ask some serious questions. Instead of asking 50 stupid questions about abortion, how about one of you Democrat activists pretending to be "journalists" ask the Democrat Candidates to answer ONE question about Abortion.
Does anyone think this may be the whole reason NBC picked Matthews in the first place?
JustaDumbBlonde--I agree with your post about the statement, but the problem with Republicans always taking the high road is that no one ever knows that they take the high road. They need some better PR.

NBC, not the RNC, is hosting this debate. They picked the Moderator. The candidate have the choice of showing up or not. NBC decides who moderates the debate.
Tipsy O’Neill taught Chrissie how to drink....unfortunately he croaked before he could teach him how to stop.
Chrissy is in love with the Clintons. In his interview with Jon Stewart the part that got past alot of people was his endorsement of Bill Clintons bedding women techniques.

Yes, Chrissy Matthews did substitute for Rush a couple of times. Remember, Chris used to be a big basher of Clinton in the 90’s.
Their firewall may screen it out since it is connected to Hillary's Testicular Lock Box, which has a hold on everyone these days, except for a few in talks radio.
When will adults return to the media?
Crissy is a Me-me-me boomer, and since I am not a doctor, I can't comment on his mental state, be we need a or a series of adults and true time-clock management for these things not to be a farce.
Moderator(s) with intelligent questions and none of this blog/email horse hockey.

With all due respect, I think all the Repubs should show up and go toe-to-toe with Matthews, throw his loaded liberal attack “questions” right back in his face. I’d love to see him get red faced and po’d in front of the country.

As Sean Hannity so astutely pointed out yesterday on his program, imagine the Democratic candidates' reaction if HE (Hannity) were named moderator of their debate.
As always, more accommodating rules apply to Democrats, because in their case it's always "different."
The debate is irrelevant on MSNBC. More people will watch Fox to see what is going on with OJ then watch the debate.
It would be appropriate if one of the Republican candidates took 30 seconds to point out that whereas the democrat candidates refused to debate on Fox, the Republican candidates allowed a moderator who was part of a democrat administration and who recently alluded to the criminality of the current administration. That would be accurate, and would set the proper tone for the viewers.
