there is live footage on the feed....
I think their sails split....then they started taking on water and issued a distress....pretty rough seas.

Lots of water coming from the boat, I guess from a pump?

Wathing KCAL 9...
Looks like she is moving in slowly towards the breakwater
Lots of rescue boats following...
Some of the crew is out on the bowsprit trying to balance??
The pumps are working overtime --outflow visible port side, astern...

It’s leaving a wake so it doesn’t appear to be foundering. Probably a bunch of seasick people on board.

Guess it's be too much to ask for it to be a celebrity cruise.
I'd hate to be Robert Wagner's date.

LAFD is releasing their assets (3 fire boats, 3 helos and lots of engines and ambulances)
USCG apparently has no assets to help that second vessel in distress....maybe they send a helo.

Ship is chartered by the Childrens’ Educational Foundation for a tall ship training program.

I've always wondered how that big boat got that far up onto the beach considering they were in a lagoon and protected from the main ocean surge.
I know there's NO DAMN WAY skinny, weak Gilligan & the fat, out-of-shape Skipper were able to get that up there!
To: Spktyr
My mistake- they aren’t coming in with tug- it appears they under their own power
