Ron Paul on Alex Jones 9/11 Truther Show Today (Have at it, Ministry of Silly Explanations)

Since the Ministry of Silly Explanations is currently busy, the Office of Intoxicating Marmalades and Self-Righteous Elven Wizards has decided to present the following:

We've been close friends for years, but I get no reponse to my emails to her anymore. :(

The funny thing is that Ron Paul is a "neo-con"

Not exactly. Ron Paul might be a paleolibertarian or a 'Constitutionalist' but he's not from the neocon camp. Neoconservatives came from the Cold Warrior wing of the Democratic Party. They were Great Society Democrats who were hawks on foreign policy. They joined forces with Reagan conservatives in 1980 because they wanted a muscular foreign policy, and they were being marginalized by the McGovern and Carter forces that were in control of the Democratic Party. Jeanne Kirkpatrick is a one example.

As an ideology neoconservatives gathered around Irving Kristol, who popularized the term, and Norman Podhoretz. Commentary Magazine was the movement's flagship publication. Neoconservativism has roots in Democratic Party liberalism and socialism- as in the case of Joshua Muravchik, one time activist in the Young People's Socialist League. This isn't Ron Paul country.

Paul has said that he does not believe the attack on the World Trade Center was a part of a government conspiracy and has explicity denied any association with the “9/11 Truth Movement.”

Yet he now appears on Jones show for the third time. And lest we forget, Jones and his crew aren't just truthers, they think the Marines are going to round us up any day and put us in concentration camps. They think there's martial law in 77 counties in Texas.

At this point, you are a joke.

Ron Paul is an innocent victim! By the inscrutable workings of fate, and against his will, he just happens to drift about in a cloud of crackpots!

When I think about the explanations offered here and elsewhere for Ron's behavior, for some reason I think about Danny in THE SHINING, moving his finger and talking about "the little boy who lives in my mouth".

Is Rush Limbaugh a ‘truther’?

Nope, but Alex jones is. Let me know when Ron Paul appears on Rush and they have a lovefest.

This is what I was hinting at in the earlier post. In a former incarnation, I referred to neoconservatives as "Democrats who like tax cuts," who ultimately disregard social and cultural affairs.

A neoconservative isn't one who has left ideological liberalism for conservativism; it's one who tries to incorporate the doctrines of the New Left into conservativism. But, I guess I'm a troll.

A question for traviskicks while we’re dealing with hypotheticals: How would you feel about Ron Paul speaking to a Klan rally? Would you defend it as you have defended his association with truther leadership, as long as he told a reporter or two he likes Black folks just fine?

Mr. Jones is one artful conspiracy loon. He is at least an equal opportunity one who is at least consistent in that he thinks everyone Republicans and Democrats are out to get him.

Honestly that is the only reasonable stance for someone who chooses to accept the conspiracy nonsense. The whole of the government at some level right and left would have had to worked together to pull off something of the magnitude of a 9-11. True conspiracies require so many co-conspirators that they soon collapse under their own weight of incredulity.

Conspiracies to succeed require an Al Qaeda style commitment. Politicians are by their very nature not good candidates because they are not very good at keeping their traps shut and are very self preserving and vainglorious.
They are also quick to back stab each other and exercise leverage against one another which usually ends up being their downfall. Such type also have a bad habit of writing down their escapades in diaries and spilling their guts to pretty call girls.

Mr. Jones and Mr. Paul are both right not to trust the government but they are wrong to believe it capable of genius and cunning that is not evident anyplace within it.
The little kings are too bust wasting money and taking smoke breaks to conspire to do anything but sneak out early when the tax payer isn’t watching. The great deceptions are those they make in plain sight. Promising free Health Care, promising to make us safer, leading us to believe learning requires billions of dollars and teachers paid and trained on a gold standard, telling us cutting taxes is spending, and that our soldiers are no better than shock troopers.

I could go on and on at the myths and lies and phony crud that is offered up on the plate of American politics by the very horrible chefs in Washington. Most are educated lawyers and that should trouble us only because it should make us truly skeptical of what it means to be educated. Believing one has special knowledge and attributing a grandness to the buffoons in Washington that they do not deserve is to confuse a man who is driving drunk with a man who is trying sincerely to run you down. Those in Washington are drunk with tax payer money and too busy looking at themselves on TV to conspire to do anything but fall prey to their own weaknesses and power hungry nature. That it leads to a socialist mommy state is not because great thought has went into it only that babies are prone to seek what makes them feel safe and those in power wish to make sure citizens need them to feel safe. They hunger for attention just as their supporters hunger to be fed and told they really aren’t perverts, baby killers, weak cowards, and lazy dumb asses.

The children of ignorance feed on the comforting breast dripping with pleasant illusions and snarl and snap at any hand that would take that breast away.

One thing that’s certainly true: Prawn Paul is more comfortable with the Truthers than Rudy was with the NRA.

What did Ron Paul actually say during his interview with the moonbat host?

Do you know? I don’t.

Although curiosity is getting to me. Better question: Does anybody here care about substance?

Or are we just interested in guilt by association? I was on a NY Times blog this week trying to explain to Socialists that President Bush and the GOP lawmakers are not opposed to renewing SCHIP funding at current levels and they don’t hate the wee little chilrun.

They are opposed to the EXPANSION and the Trojan Horse attempt to use the wee little chilruns as pawns to try to advance their ideology of Universal Healthcare.

Does that make me a Shill for Socialist HillaryCare because I tried to talk to them?

I have put on my Hazmat suit and I am trying to listen to this nonsense and make up my mind for myself. I clicked on the link.

No wonder why nobody here wanted to actually listen to this nonsense. Right now I am listening to Alex the Troofer talk to some Stoned jackass who can’t even remember or doesn’t know that Nasser was the President of Egypt.

Geez, the caller is either stupid, drunk or stoned. I’m in Hell. I can’t fastforward it.

Are you that much afraid of just listening?

Are you afraid of what you might hear?

Do you know what he would have said?

No, I am not afraid. Just annoyed. When one starts out with the premise that there was something hinky about the collapse of Tower 7 and proceeds to quote Alex Jones, then I have NO INTEREST in further conversation in this subject.

That was as far as it went. I don't care to hear moonbat conspiracy theories about 9-11; I don't have time for that nonsense. Period.

I'll bet you'd ask him if he was afraid to listen to a guy who says the Earth is flat, too. How about if he said his 6 foot invisible rabbit Harvey told him all about MIHOP?

The 9/11 conspiracy claims are not only male bovine feces, they aren't even believable male bovine feces, and the people who believe this crap are to a man unhinged. Had a guy write into our local paper this September 11th to tell us all that fousr jumbo jets couldn't have crashed into those buildings without leaving more wreckage. Yeah, don't believe your lying eyes, those planes didn't hit the Trade Center...

Why couldn't it just be something simple, such as; Ron Paul wanting national exposure to speak to the people?

If Ron Paul spoke at a Klan rally I bet the MSM would cover it. would you be OK with that? After all, he could just tell a reporter or two that he likes Black folks just fine and we could all bask in his brilliance.

but the staffer that set up these appearances should be fired...it really damages Paul's credibility

A gallant effort to pawn this appearance off onto someone other than Ron. But this is not a staffer's simple scheduling problem. One time, maybe. Not four.
