It is refreshing to hear Fred Thomson speak on issues even if he isn't well informed and he admits to the fact. Exactly, such as referring to the present-day Soviet Union, or a Democrat majority that wasn't, or being entirely ignorant of issues in the State in which he campaigns, that is all so endearing. What is more, FDT isn't too proud to solicit applause when his stemwinder stump speech has reached its ultimate crescendo unbeknownst to his somnolent audience.
Such talent and appeal is sure to sweep the GOP to victory in 2008.

Did you see how Willard is down to $500,000 in donations from other people? That’s what I call a broad base of support!

It’s always a gamble. He seems Okay. I certainly think he’s electable unless he suddenly turns incoherent at some speaking engagement or debate. He will be viciously attacked by the leftists in a way unprecedented. The leftists really think they can finish us off with this next presidential election with the halitosis queen. But even if he overcomes all that, we still don’t know what he will really do. It’s always a gamble. Look what we got in ‘00 and ‘04. Someone who wants to deconstruct the nation as we know it.

She’s also a lawyer like Hillary, only smarter.
The best campaign ad I can think of when the time is right is to show Jeri in the kitchen with Fred baking cookies for their family.
“Come on over Hillary! We’ll show you how!”

If Putin is in control for a few more years, Fred’s misstatement will appear to be prescient.

She isn’t a lawyer. Heard it from Fred himself.

Does every article about Fred have to include the word folksy? It's not required, but what is mandatory is that everyone must do a shot whenever anybody calls Fred "folksy".

Jeri worked in a law firm, but as a media consultant. She has a degree in English literature, I believe.

If Putin is in control for a few more years, FredÂs misstatement will appear to be prescient... True, but serendipitously so.

I stopped reading when I got to the byline Jennifer Brooks. I had a few email exchanges with her.
I hope this article is more about facts than perceptions....
