Can you explain Rosary beads?
How about praying to St. Mary? Or any of the Catholic saints?
Where in the Bible does it command repeating the Hail Mary prayer over and over?
Or eating fish on Friday?
What about the Pope as a diefied appointment to represent mankind?
What about the Pope's ordering of imprisonment of non-believers (in Midievel times) or any other past atrocities as perpetrated by the Catholic Church?
Where are any of these things found in the Bible.
Yet I still love, respect, and would vote for a good practicing Catholic in a New York minute.
Why can't people do the same for Mormons, who as a group, have been one of the most patriotic and family value oriented groups ever to grace the American political landscape.
I guess you are trying to “educate” me about Mormons. And how do you know anything at all about them?
I don’t try to explain Rosary beads, or Saints or Hail Marys. I am not Catholic and I have never been one. That discussion is left to those who actually know.
Now tell me again, why should I listen to you about Mormonism, I was born into an LDS family of six generations, and spent a good portion of my life learning the “sacred” teachings. Don’t even go there about how much “better” Mormons are than the rest of us. They are people, and as such are just as capable of sin, crime and abhorence as the rest of us. Believe me....they aren’t any better. But I suppose their public relations campaign has worked. They have you fooled.
