Nobody responds to a political attack better than Limbaugh....(chuckle)
Rush may talk more about Fred Thompson, it would not suprise me.
As "Rush held hostage" goes into its eigth day.
Have a good meeting! :)
Another good title to what I call a talkradio show soap opera, because ElRushbo has been taken hostage in a verbal sense.
“Harry Reid MUST resign!”
He won’t do anything but keep spouting the New Socialist Workers’ Party line until he and Pelosi drive the poll ratings for congress into double digit negative numbers.

....which he will then blame on Bush. Or Rush. Or just throw up his hands and claim that all us “nonbelievers” are really those reptilian alien invaders that Cheney’s had concealed at Area 51.
Boston Red Soxs are on FIRE! They looked good last night. :-)

Senate OKs border funds
By S.A. Miller - The Senate overwhelmingly approved $3 billion for added border security that includes a 700-mile fence on the Mexico border, as Democrats lost another bid to force a U.S. pullout from Iraq.
The popular border security measure, an amendment to the $459 billion defense appropriations bill, passed 95-1, ensuring Republicans are not put in the awkward position of challenging President Bush’s promised veto of a homeland security bill that includes the same provision.
“It’s a belt-and-suspenders approach,” said Sen. Jon Kyl, Arizona Republican, referring to the legislative maneuver used to protect the money for hiring more Border Patrol agents, fencing and observation posts.
The lopsided vote shows the Senate is listening to Americans’ concerns about illegal entry into the U.S., said Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican.
“This is an important provision because it begins to restore some credibility on behalf of the federal government, providing funds to protect the border and enforce our laws,” said Mr. Cornyn.
The border funding also will be used to track down visitors who overstay their visas.
Sen. George V. Voinovich, Ohio Republican and self-described “debt hawk,” cast the lone “no” vote, saying the spending was excessive and more than requested by Mr. Bush. The president has threatened to veto more than half of the annual spending bills for busting the budget he set, but the White House indicated yesterday it’s not opposed to the additional border funding.
Mr. Bush had included similar security measures when his bid to overhaul the nation’s immigration system failed resoundingly in the Senate earlier this summer.
The border vote preceded the Democrat-led Senate’s resounding rejection of a troop withdrawal bill for the second time in two weeks. It failed to pick up any new support, dying 68-28.
The amendment by Sen. Russ Feingold, Wisconsin Democrat, would have cut off funds for U.S. combat operations and limited the mission in Iraq to counterterrorism, force protection and training Iraqi forces.
“It’s long past time for meaningless resolutions and minor policy tweaks,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat and co-sponsor of the bill.
“We need a major change of course in Iraq, one that responsibly brings our troops home, rebuilds the readiness of our military, and returns our focus to fighting a real war on terror against [Osama] bin Laden and his al Qaeda network,” he said.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, said the amendment threatened to erase recent military gains and send a dangerous message to the United States’ enemies in places such as Iran.
“This amendment in my opinion would embolden an enemy that is literally on the mat,” he said on the Senate floor. “It would send the wrong message to Tehran at a time when they need to hear something different than America is going to leave. They need to hear the message that America is going to stand behind the moderate forces in Iraq.”
Mr. Reid, despite Democrats’ repeated failed bids to force a pullout from Iraq, vows to keep pursuing antiwar legislation, perhaps with other amendments to the defense appropriations bill or later with a $189 billion emergency war-funding bill.
The defense bill under debate, which increases the Pentagon budget by about 10 percent, doesn’t include Mr. Bush’s funding request for the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. It passed last night on a voice vote.
Have you noticed that the attacks not only against Rush, but also against other talkradio show hosts have also increased?
Now Rush is talking about “dying from everything” with a great sense of humor. :)
“Rush may talk more about Fred Thompson, it would not suprise me.”
That would be his indirect way of telling us what he truly thinks of Romney.
I love Rush’s subtlety.
Salazar wants to censur Rush
Bill of Attainder!!!!
Hi Everyone!
Thanks for the link, Chicago.....
((*_*))
Well it looks like there is no way anyone is going to put trash on Rush, which we all knew won’t ever happen, but the MSM is getting really stupid over this....
I still think there is more to this than meets the eye....
Inquiring minds want to know, ya know?
In the recent past prominent Democratic officeholders have made remarkably insulting and/or counterfactual statements about our soldiers and their leaders. Among the recurring themes are the proposition that our troops are stupid and their leaders are liars. Has anyone compiled these statements? I think they would provide useful context for the phony "phony soldiers" controversy orchestrated by Hillary Matters and executed by HM's dutiful Democratic poodles. I have a few that come to mind this morning.
Harry Reid (on "the surge"): Now I believe, myself, that the secretary of state, the secretary of defense and you have to make your own decision as to what the president knows: that this war is lost, that the surge is not accomplishing anything.
Dick Durbin (on Guantanamo): If I read this to you and did not tell you that it was an FBI agent describing what Americans had done to prisoners in their control, you would most certainly believe this must have been done by Nazis, Soviets in their gulags, or some mad regime -- Pol Pot or others -- that had no concern for human beings. Sadly, that is not the case. This was the action of Americans in the treatment of their prisoners.
Hillary Clinton (to General Petraeus): [T]oday you are testifying about the current status of our policy in Iraq and the prospects of that policy. It is a policy that you have been ordered to implement by the president. And you have been made the de facto spokesmen for what many of us believe to be a failed policy. Despite what I view as your rather extraordinary efforts in your testimony both yesterday and today, I think that the reports that you provide to us really require the willing suspension of disbelief.
John Kerry: Education -- if you make the most of it and you study hard and you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well," said Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat. "If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."
Charles Schumer (on "the surge"): [L]et me be clear, the violence in Anbar has gone down despite the surge, not because of the surge. The inability of American soldiers to protect these tribes from al Qaeda said to these tribes we have to fight al Qaeda ourselves. It wasnt that the surge brought peace here. It was that the warlords took peace here, created a temporary peace here.
Charles Rangel: If theres anyone who believes that these youngsters want to fight, as the Pentagon and some generals have said, you can just forget about it. No young, bright individual wants to fight just because of a bonus and just because of educational benefits. And most all of them come from communities of very, very high unemployment. If a young fellow has an option of having a decent career or joining the Army to fight in Iraq, you can bet your life that he would not be in Iraq.
John Murtha (on Haditha): It's much worse than reported in Time magazine. There was no fire fight. There was no IED that killed these innocent people. Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood. And that's what the report is going to tell. Now, you can imagine the impact this is going to have on those troops for the rest of their lives and for the United States in our war and our effort in trying to win the hearts and minds. Do you have any additional nominations for consideration? I'll update this post with additional quotes sent in by readers.
UPDATE: Our readers respond. Robert Dodd gives us
Edward Kennedy: Shamefully, we now learn that Saddam's torture chambers reopened under new management: U.S. management.
Kyle Christensen gives us more
John Kerry: And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of the -- of -- the historical customs, religious customs.
Steven Ives gives us
Barack Obama: We've got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we're not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous pressure over there.
Michael Costello gives us more
Harry Reid: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed Thursday that he told liberal bloggers last week that he thinks outgoing Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Peter Pace is "incompetent."
Now there is another politician Rush is talking about, wanting to censor him. LOL
Hi CC dear. So Happy It’s Thursday.
Today is also Buster Keaton’s birthday. GENIUS!
Oh, that is the politician’s last name.
Looks like the Angels folded last night....
Although the way Becket was pitching, I don’t think anyone could have hit him. The only bright spot was that Vlad Guererro actually had 2 hits in a game in the post season. Small consolation though.
What?!? My slimebag senator? I'm with you--bill of attainder!
The Dems Rush!
They attack the military. The are simply PROJECTING themselves unto you.
