I would much rather have adequate pain meds available for the terminally ill. How much suffering that would ease!
I agree that palliative care is very important.
But I feel that Oregon’s Death with Dignity law is also important.
If the doctor is willing to prescribe it, and the patient is of sound mind and decides to request it, in my opinion it should be a legal option.
Don't worry...I won't borrow your doctor for anything.
Just keep the government and others out of it. As long as everyone can obtain the materials and means without prosecution of themselves or anyone who chooses to help, then okay.

Yeah, and much better to feed onesself with one's own hands. Agreed. And dying at one's own hands is "suicide"...so I'm glad we agree.
But you'd be wrong. There are ways.
