Yeah — they’ve sorta become the Palestinians of North America. Which gives me an idea. Why doesn’t the UN step in and set up refugee camps along the border? After all, it’s worked so well on the West Bank and Gaza.

After all, if they all returned to Mexico after experiencing life here they might insist that it stop being a failed state and emulate our success rather than seeking to distract their citizens with attacks on us.

Exactly. This has nothing to do with Mexico defending the rights of poor immigrants, and everything to do with a calculated economic policy designed to export much of their poverty to the United States, so they don’t have to deal with it...the catch is, they want those people to retain primarily Mexican identities, so to further influence US policy.

They're a lot like Palestinians in that regard. ...and in another regard as well -- both claim land was "stolen" from them and aim to get it back.
