Fred Thompson on Harry Reids attacks on Rush Limbaugh
Congressional Democrats are trying to divert attention from insulting our military leader in Iraq and pandering to the loony left by attacking Rush Limbaugh. He is one of the strongest supporters of our troops, yet Democrats claim he is not being strong enough. I wonder who General Petraeus and his troops think is most supportive?

In Rush’s words, Mitt Romney threw me under the bus like he did that other guy, Larry Craig.
“Now former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney is weighing into the fray. In a statement to the Huffington Post, Romney’s spokesman Kevin Madden offered the following on Limbaugh:
“Governor Romney would disagree with the negative characterization of those men and women who serve with honor and distinction in the United States Military. There may be disagreements with individual opinions, but no one would ever dispute the fact that those members of the military who disagree with the war have earned the right to express that opinion.”

About time someone addresses the left by name the way Fred does. Seems everyone in the current administration was told not to speak out about the left, as you never see or hear it, despite their wanting to defend themselves. It’s almost like Bush requesting that they “turn the other cheek” kind of Christian attitude, by not stooping to “their” level. That doesn’t come off as commendable as it does cowardly and gutless. Fred has the right idea and he “GETS IT”. To those concerned about Thompson winning the election, let me ask you has any other candidate come out against the left the way Fred does?

Rush needs to alert webmasters that he will reference their site before he mentions them. I don’t think the “hit counters” count those who get a “page not available” response when the servers get overloaded. Rudy, Mit, you out there with anything on the smear?

Sounds to me like Romney doesn’t get it and doesn’t know what is going on. Perhaps he has a problem with reading comprehension, or perhaps he just reads the drive by media for his news.

I’m sure he’ll feel differently if you ask him now. That’s all that matters. That and his hair. Just ask his supporters...

Ahh yes, poor Slick Willard sticks his finger in the air, checks the wind, and condemns something that never happened.
So typical.

Ironic, couple of days ago several were posting about Fred not saying anything. Now we have Fred taking the stand above the others Nice...
That's the media's not so subtle attack on Fred, spreading fear about his health, that he can't survive a campaign this rigorous. That says to me they know Fred is the real deal and they are about crapping their pants right now.

Slick Willard isn’t crapping his pants, but he IS doing whatever animatronic weatherboys do when they’re very frightened.

Yes, that is correct, and once Rush notices this, Fred will have Rush in his corner supporting him and Fred will get the Rush listeners support.
This thing that the Dems/MSM have created will actually hurt them because they now have kicked a hornets nest and energized the GOP base just in time for the election year.... Rush will be fine ... this will fly back in the DEMS/MSM face as horse crap.

Sounds to me like Romney doesnt get it and doesnt know what is going on. Perhaps he has a problem with reading comprehension, or perhaps he just reads the drive by media for his news. Funny, I've had Mittwits criticize Thompson for not being "up to speed" on local current events at campaign stops, while pointing out Romney's incredible organization where he has advisers telling him the appropriate wonkish position on every single local issue.
So, if they're right, then Romney does know what's going on, he's just taken the position of being a weak-kneed putz.

I like what I’m seeing from Fred. Not afraid to call a spade a spade.
Pres. Bush would have taken 2 weeks and then come out with a ‘can’t we all just get along” statement.
Where are the rest of the pres. candidates?

It’s not like Romney ever really had a chance, but that ignorant statement was the final nail in his political coffin.
