Fred Thompson on Harry Reids attacks on Rush Limbaugh
Congressional Democrats are trying to divert attention from insulting our military leader in Iraq and pandering to the loony left by attacking Rush Limbaugh. He is one of the strongest supporters of our troops, yet Democrats claim he is not being strong enough. I wonder who General Petraeus and his troops think is most supportive?

Some are missing this. Please allow me to highlight it:

Courage:
In a statement to the Huffington Post,
Romneys spokesman Kevin Madden
offered the following on Limbaugh:
Governor Romney would disagree with the negative characterization of those men and women who serve with honor and distinction in the United States Military. There may be disagreements with individual opinions, but no one would ever dispute the fact that those members of the military who disagree with the war have earned the right to express that opinion.

Freds soundbite just sounds too politically correct. Uh. Please...step...away...from...the...keyboard...slowly. OK, Now...are you taking any medications at this time? Are you having any thoughts?
To: Spunky
That’s better than nothing, but come on, that sounds almost as bad as, “ok now, guys, can you play nice next time? Pleaseeeeee???”
To: RatsDawg
First unforgivable thing he did: posted his response on Huffpo. [ick]
Second, he assumed Harry Reid was correct and telling the truth about Rush’s comments. Mitt got owned by Harry, and
it’s not pretty. :-[

Oh Yes, Harry Reid did.
Rush has 3 hours a day to respond, and he has the truth. Its recorded.
Never start a fight with a man who buys ink by the barrel, or has 15 hours of airtime on every radio in the country, every week.

Rush “America’s Conservative” came under attack.
Mitt Romney contributed to the personal attack by joining Harry Reid’s side.
When Mitt did the Mitt reverse he did not call Rush and ask for a moment on his show to set things straight like a man would (and a conservative presidential candidate would), instead he went on another radio show to refute and attempt to counter Rush.
Romney is pond scum. This is the same Romney we see on so many videos.
Romney fears the Rush Republicans.

I also get that idea like Hugh Hewitt has a vested interest in Romney winning. You may be right, maybe they’ve cooked up some sort of job for him if he is elected. I usually tend to agree with most points with Hugh but his trumpeting of Romney is a little disappointing. I heard on his show yesterday where he had Reagan’s assistant and they were both dismissing Fred as the real conservative and Mike Huckabee was their man if he could get into the top tier of candidates which is slim to none.

Mitt’s just exposed himself as the moron he truly is. All chin, no brain.

Not including Fred, all of the other candidates in the top tier are full on RINOS (Guiliani, Romney, and MC Pain).

If I knew how to quickly get to my first post on FR I would do it, because it was a criticism of Hugh Hewitt and him going Pollyannish during elections and just pushing his candidates with endless positive spin, regardless of facts. (If I remember correctly)
To a listener like me, that came to mean that he was useless for gaining any political insight from.

Irony is I think the post I saw asking why Fred had not said anything was from a Mitty... Actually I was one of the people who asked where Fred was yesterday, I also asked where all the candidates were, not to mention the senate, in regards to Rush.
I am a FredHead BTW, I also am not a blind follower who will stick by someone no matter how wrong they are. Fred was taking so long I became concerned about his response. I am glad to see he finally came down on the right side of the fence, I expected him too but I expected it faster. Still waiting for Hunter to weight in. As far as Mitt is concerned, Mitt can go pi** up a rope, I have never liked the SOB to begin with and now am really against Mitt.

The entire attack on Limbaugh is based on a lie. That Democrats repeat the lie, and the MSM accepts the lie, is all you need to know.
