The latest episode of the CBS crime show "Cold Case" depicted presumably devout Christian teens in an abstinence club as sexually active hypocrites who literally stone a member to keep their sins secret.
The Culture and Media Institute, a defender of traditional values, calls the episode broadcast Sunday "a ham-handed attempt to influence this fall's congressional debate on abstinence education programs. The show also depicts abstinence-only education as useless, if not actively harmful."
"Hollywood likes to claim their programming simply reflects reality, but the latest episode of 'Cold Case' was an exercise in bigoted, Christophobic fantasy," wrote

Sounds like all they needed was an anti-gun diatribe and they could have had a liberal trifecta!
As long as it was Christians doing the stoning all is right. But God forbid it was muslims doing the stoning CAIR would have the show pulled.
This has happened several times at the local high school, and I've told my kids that if they see any of the abstinence club near the gravel parking lot they should just start running.
What makes these crime dramas on CBS and other channels so great is that they are so real life ... ripped from the headlines, donchaknow.
Could it be that many Christian youths remain abstinent because they are loved at home by good parents, care about their futures, and have no felt need to prove their worth by having premarital sex?
No, can’t be ... they must be creepy hypocrites.
Time to e-mail this to my wife and the vast network of the stone throwing hypocritical Christians we know (maybe 20 or 30 on the e-mail lists . . . we are huge . . . the 800 pound gorillas of the political world). We often enjoy a nice stoning. Sometimes someone objects based on John 8 (”Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”) but we just stone them too. /sarc off
I won’t watch the show again.
Sounds like we Christians need to bombard our Congress critters and complain about this. They want to silence Conservative radio and all it is is a format for discussion and argument...which seems to me there is plenty of it. But when Hollywood presents this trash as factually-based where is the outcry of bigotry? Anybody read any stories about Christian teens performing these kinds of acts? I cannot remember even once. This is brainwashing and misinformation, leading to contempt for Christians, without a base of facts.
LOL!
The women will have to dress as men to go to the stoning
Just a tip for my fellow Christians, stone your whores before the Sunday pot-luck. Try to do it afterward and you’re really just in no shape to do it properly.
Nah, I think my wife watches it occassionally. I’ve watched it at least twice and didn’t notice it was liberal sputum.
You can always count on these shows to bash whites and Christians. As soon as I saw the preview I said “here we go”.
Last year I there was one about crazy nuns. These people are so cutting edge and brave!
In fact, I'd go a step further. Look deep into the past of many homosexuals, prostitutes, or those who have had multiple sexual partners and you will likely, although not always, find that such persons were victims of abuse in their childhood or have had degrees of trauma in their lives growing up.
I wish those boobs in Hollywood would just tell a story without preaching to me.
Ah, women aren’t allowed to stone? Geez, now we will have to stone ourselves for breaking the law.
Thank goodness. It’s about time a prime time television show shined the light on this problem of Christians going around and stoning people who don’t agree with them.
I also watched "The Unit" last night, and noted that the evil, torturing, rogue CIA guys were caricatures of American right-wing extremists, murdering suspected terrorists and dumping them in the ocean.
It must be interesting living in an alternate universe, where you can bring your straw men to life to generate sympathetic anger against your imagination.
We sat through that BS until it became obvious where they were headed (which destination we SHOULD have seen well before it came ‘round the bend).
Typical CBS crap.
The writers were most likely denizens of West Horrywood.
I give the credit for my 2, ages 19 & 18, to their love for Jesus Christ. We’re fortunate that they follow His example and not mine!
