Hey I didnt say it....the ACLU did.
I am just following what they proport qualifies as freedom of speech. Thats what happens when you push things past a
reasonable degree. There are federal laws still on the books about flying the flag. The ACLU has taken it upon themselves in the spirit of freedom of speech to say ...”While there is indeed a federal law regulating the display of the U.S. flag, that law is merely advisory.”
Since when is a law advisory?????
So in that spirit if I break a law destroying property while expressing my freedom of speech ...it too should be ok.
Get that I am not in agreement with destroying property..I do have some ethics, however...I will take down an improperly flown Mexican flag..and I applaud those that do.
Be careful what you wish for (when you say viva freedom of speech)...you just might get it.
In answer to your question...where is the line?
If its a law ...ITS A LAW...not an advisory. If this law were respected and enforced then we wouldnt have the problem or atmosphere we now have.
Exactly.
I agree. No point in having a law if it’s not enforced.
If someone is flying a flag in a way that is illegal then prosecute them UNDER THE LAW.
That’s not what was done in this case.
