Rank emotionalism.
I imagine that had you been at the Battle of Lexington and Concord, you'd be all for prosecuting the colonists for firing on the Redcoats.
Quoted from another thread...
“Our robust and meaningful democracy is built upon our First Amendment, which protects our right to express ourselves even when - indeed, particularly when - that expression is distasteful or unpopular. “ACLU
There you go ...the ACLU the fighters of freedom of speech that you have posted about.
Now ..according to that statement ...no one should be upset when I express myself by tearing down and burning Mexican flags, even if you do find it distasteful.
Another point that the flag violators need to understand...
Long in our countrys history going back to the Revolutionary War, our flag has been hoisted to show victory in wartime over territories fought. It is a sacred symbol to many, and anyone hoisting a Mexican flag should know that to many they are thumbing their noses and saying ....we are the victors...we have conquered.
NOT while I am breathing will their flag become a norm to be flown in the USA. And thats my right to say and express protected by the freedom of speech you hold so dear.
Bloody civil wars have erupted over "rank emotionalism" as you put it in your dead cold way.
