I agree with Sen. John McCain when he says, this country is founded on Christian men and woman. The Christian bible has a lot to say about peace but the Moslem book speaks mainly on war ( Gee hard ) and all must bow the knee to Allah. Christ says every knee shall bow to him and every tong confess him as Lord in the judgment day. Peace and love and good will to men you will not find in Mohameds book. Revski

It must be john mcinsane found out one cannot win the nomination without the Christian Right. I believe he (john mcinsane) is a day late. john thought having once thrown the Christian Right out of his truth bus? he would be loved by everyone else, but now he wants the Christian Right? Hey john....Take A Hike!
The founding Fathers knew about the muslim threat. Fully 1/3 of the DOI signers were ministers and many of the rest were acknowledged Christians. Some weren’t as well and they seemed to do ok.
There is no separation of Church and state. To separate them is to kill whichever one isn’t in power. Whats in the Constitution is a restriction on establishing a formal state religion. Kinda like the Church of England.
Judeo-Christian principles have been the driving force behind America’s success for generations. For McVain to ignore the contributions of Jewish settlers in America is unthinkable. During the attack on Christmas and Christianity in recent years, Jews have been among the more vocal supporters of this Christian celebration and acknowledged that most of them are not offended by Christian symbols during the Christmas season
IMO, McVain owes Jews a major apology.
Jesus made the blind see.
Mohammed made the seeing blind.
Jesus made the lame walk.
Mohammed made the walking lame.
Jesus made the dead live.
Mohammed made the living dead.
Jesus died and took his body into heaven.
Mohammed died and was buried in sand where the chiggers ate his flesh.
.
“Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.” - Manuel II Palelologus
this was aimed at romney.
while its true that conservatives don’t have great choices right now.
mccain himself is the worst of bad choices. the sooner that man, his addled unstable mind and poor temper moves from the public stage —the better.
I don’t see how a man who gave us a law (McCain-Feingold) to censor conservative speech in political campaigns is worth considering as a candidate for anything other than the trash bin of political history.
And this guy wants to be elected President!!? Oh my....
A foolish comment, but he doesn't owe anyone apologies. He was expressing his opinion, and left out of many articles, He said the number one issue people should make [in the] selection of the President of the United States is, Will this person carry on in the Judeo Christian principled tradition that has made this nation the greatest experiment in the history of mankind?
He'll pay a price for it though.
How so? Which Founding Father was Jewish? As that was the context of what he was speaking about...
The sooner that draft-dodging, abortion-backing, gun-grabbing Romney and his Mitwitts exit the public stage the better, IMO!
I'm not quibbling with McVain's right to say what he pleases, however, in today's super sensitive religious-ethno-orthodoxy that is the United States, to make a statement that he prefers a "Christian" is just dumb. We have often discussed Joseph Lieberman on this forum and how his views, at least on issues of national defense, fly in the face of his Democrat fellow travelers. Lieberman, as we all know, is a Jew and his contributions to America are no less than McVain's.
As a public figure, McVain the Mouth, should know better.
Being that they are all dead, it doesn't matter whether a Founding Father was Jewish or someone who worshipped free range chickens. We live in a society of super sensitivity about religion and ethnic origins. McVain, as one who has pandered to diverse groups of voters during his abysmal senate career, should know better than to make a comment of this nature in today's culture.
It is noteworthy that Jews have not made faith (Christian or Jew) much of an issue and have supported candidates whose philosophies they liked.
Great imitation of Harry Reid.
Yes, I agree. McVain DOES a great imitation of Harry Reid - especially when he supports things like Campaign Finance Reform that abridges our First Amendment rights while failing to have any influence on the effects of money on the individual campaigns, an supporting Bush’s comprehensive immigration reform that would lead to amnesty for the illegals. Also as one of the Gang of 14 and one of the Keating 5(?), McVain has done everything possible to shred his conservative image and act like a Reid clone.
Good observation.
So does anyone who says McCain owes Jews an apology for his comments that are the subject of this thread.
Please . . . . . flattery will get you nowhere with me.
