Media Research Center From the Desk of: Brent Bozell, Founder
++ Rush Limbaugh is under attack. Your immediate action is needed. See details.
To All;
The radical left activist group, Media Matters (funded by George Soros and others) has launched an all-out smear attack against Rush Limbaugh. And the liberal media are shamelessly promoting the assault.
Their goal? To force Rush off the air. Unless our MRC Action Team takes a stand right now, they could actually succeed.
Here is what is happening:
Media Matters is claiming that Rush called any soldier that opposes the war a "phony soldier." In fact, Rush was referencing an anti-war activist who falselyand despicably passed himself off as an Army Ranger and Purple Heart winner.
Rush was calling the phony soldier a "phony soldier"!
MSNBC willfully echoed the liberal attack campaign against Rush -- despite the obvious spin and deception by Media Matters. CBS's online "Public Eye" then joined in. And now, liberals in Congress are trying to get Rush removed from Clear Channel radio.

RE: Keep Rush Limbaugh
Dear Ms. Dollinger,
Recent news has it that Clear Channel Media is contemplating taking Rush Limbaugh off the air because of a bogus accusation trumped up by the leftwing organization Media Matters. Media do matter Ms. Dollinger, and that is why it would be unconscionable and no doubt economically foolish for Clear Channel to take Mr. Limbaughâs excellent voice and message off the air.
I can sympathize with Democrat liberals who have found it difficult to get their message out via the airwaves, which is why theyâre so intent on manufacturing grievances against the likes of Don Imus, Bill OâReilly, and now Rush Limbaugh.
But Clear Channel should not bow to their impotence. If your channel really stands for free speech, it is important that you keep the debate going and keep Rush Limbaugh broadcasting for all the world to hear.
Sincerely yours,
X X
OK....I’ve just sent 3 emails to ClearChannel in support of Rush....they have contact email addresses on their corporate web site.
Please everyone join me in support of RUSH
Did any other Senators denounce Reid’s lying comments and tell the real story? Where the hell are the guys on our side? You never see them stand up and defend our positions on anything. Man, I’m really getting pissed.....
I look forward to the day Harry and Hill join him. ; )
Media Matters has a contact email on their web site....he he he
I just let them know how I feel about them
;-)
Congressman Kingston in the House introduced a Rush Supports the Troops Resolution.

Lets Roll
Plus this video from ABC News prior to Rush’s show makes everything Harry Reid said a total insult to American citizens. http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=3645227
However, what Limbaugh claims to be perpetuation of a lie could be gaining traction. North Carolina Republican Rep. Walter Jones told FOX News late Monday that Limbaugh "went too far," and that he will sign on to Udall's resolution on Tuesday morning. Jones is one of two Republican House members who have consistently supported antiwar legislation.
We need to ask this very uninformed representative if he supports the “phony soldier-stolen valor” phenomenon advanced and financed by the likes of MediaMatters.
bump
Actually, Harkin’s statement is dangerously close to slander. I’ve no doubt that attorneys are monitoring this very carefully. What I find particularly offensive is that while this country has yet to formulate a coherent energy policy, work on a comprehensive plan for social security, enact tort reform, etc., our Congress wastes its time and ours debating ... Rush Limbaugh. It is no wonder that approval ratings for Congress are lower than Keith Overbite’s.
Ms Dollinger,
A while back, Harry Reid declared Democrat victory by saying the war in Iraq was lost. Since then, 'The Surge' has induced a sea change in events on the ground... the tide has turned and Reid, along with his party, have been left with egg on their face. In frustration, they now turn their sights toward the First Amendment.
I listened to the Rush Limbaugh Show last week and heard every minute of the 'Phony Soldiers' segment and in no way did Limbaugh use this term to blanket all troops who question the war. He directed it at Jesse MacBeth... a liar and a fraud. I'm sure he also thought of Scott Thomas Beauchamp, of New Republic fame, who also concocted fantasy in order to belittle the efforts of our troops.
By his actions in the Senate yesterday, Harry Reid has in turn, proven himself to be a liar... and a fraud as well.
In closing, I condemn Reid and his party for their high profile, smear campaign against Limbaugh and the First Amendment... and using the Senate chambers as a platform for propaganda.
Also....on Rep Walter Jones’ website, there is a place where you can email soldiers regarding your support. Since Jones denounced Rush, it is only fitting the soldiers learn of it thru Jones’ website. They should be made aware that Rush has shown enormous support for them.

Lisa Dollinger Clear Channel Communications 200 East Basse Road San Antonio, TX 78209
RE: Soros / Clinton for President Network Backs Media Matters Distortion of Rush Limbaugh's Remarks.
Ms. Dollinger:
Please forward to all concerned at Clear Channel my deep appreciation for making widely available commentator Rush Limbaugh, these past 19 years.
Having examined the facts concerning the alleged statements made by Mr. Limbaugh some believe to be an insult to all veterans of the Iraqi War, I have concluded his words have been taken completely out of context and were in reference only to some who have falsified personal accounts and personal history to aggrandize themselves at the expense of the credibility of the United States.
An organization known as "Media Matters," financially supported by Mr. George Soros and urged on by persons backing certain candidates for president, has intentionally begun a wretched campaign to censure Mr. Limbaugh, officially, if possible.
Mr. Soros is, as you know, is also a strong financial supporter of a wide network of organizations engaged in public policy debate, including "MoveOn.org," recently officially censured for a childish distortion of the name of a highly decorated U.S. Army General.
I have concluded the present wide dissemination of this latest distortion of Mr. Limbaugh's commentary to be nothing more than part and parcel of an already heated 2008 presidential campaign.
I urge Clear Channel to continue to keep its head and come to the defense of Mr. Limbaugh, regardless of this current effort by some professional public relations experts to "manufacture a consensus" ahead of any examination of the facts.
I am forwarding this note immediately to my representatives in the United States Congress, Senators Richard Burr and Elizabeth Dole, as well as Representative Walter Jones, in hopes they too will come to Mr. Limbaugh's defense and that no action be taken in Congress without a such a complete examination of the facts in this matter as can be done by anyone with more than a cursory interest in the truth.
Presidential politics is, and always has been, a heated affair. In fact, it is an American tradition to test the very limits of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in such a season.
I do not plead on behalf of any censorship of the right of free speech on the part of Mr. Soros or anyone else. I only ask that all concerned remember, though early, the presidential contest of 2008 is well underway, and those exercising their responsibility to vote in the coming months should examine every statement, especially many news stories, that will almost certainly arise from an effort to further or to diminish the fortunes of those running for president.
Very respectfully,
Rush is a big boy who can handle himself. As long as the ratings are there, he’ll never get arbitrarily yanked off the air.
You beat me to it. Sometimes when people say things, even if true, they need to stand up like big boys and girls and take the heat. Rush is no stranger to heat, he'll get through it, I'm sure.
Rush is Clear Channel’s cash cow and the reason AM radio is still alive.
The Democrat party is clearly showing them selves to be a criminal enterprise by this action.
They know full well Rush has their number and is doing an excellent job of exposing them for the criminals that they are and they are making no bones about wanting him off the air
Rush's show attracts around 20 millions listerners, the vast majority of which share his point's of view on issues like this. What is going to happen to people like you and I if the Dems take the White House and keep the majority in both houses of Congress.
You folks in Nevada and Iowa ought to be very embarrased right now. It never occured to me that those two states are being reprresentated by goons and thugs like these in Congress. I know you folks in these two states can do better than this.
Regards.........
The media engages in Zogbyism, making it up to to sway the public. Fake but accurate reporting.
You are WRONG (pointing out an error, not blaming you).
Moveon.org Is PAC (political action commmittee). They are NOT a non-profit group.
They can only accept donations from American citizens (and got caught in 2004 illegaly accepting foreign contributions that they had to give back).
They also have a federally mandated limit as to how much any contributor can donate.
So this is pure politics.
