HOUSE RESOLUTION SUPPORTING LIMBAUGH - Mon Oct 01 2007 15:16:57 ET
IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
OCTOBER 1, 2007
Mr. KINGSTON submitted the following resolution
RESOLUTION
Commending Rush Hudson Limbaugh III for his ongoing public support of American troops serving both here and abroad. Recognizing Mr. Limbaugh for his relentless efforts to build and maintain troop morale through worldwide radio broadcasts and personal visits to conflict regions.
Whereas the need to show support for American troops serving and fighting both here and abroad during a time of global conflict has never been greater, with the need to communicate an uplifting message of encouragement to American soldiers eternally important, in addition to the morale-boosting value of personal visits to region by highly-regarded individuals;
Whereas daily radio broadcasts reaching tens of millions of civilians and soldiers both in America and abroad by way of the Armed Forces Radio Network are conducted five days a week by Rush Hudson Limbaugh III;
Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has consistently used his broadcast time to praise American troops and support them during their ongoing efforts to secure peace in a troubled world;
Whereas Mr. Limbaugh made a week-long visit to meet with troops based in Afghanistan in 2004;
Whereas Mr. Limbaugh has raised and donated millions of dollars to the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, which provides college scholarships to the children of Marines and veterans of other branches killed in action;
Whereas Mr. Limbaughs website features an Adopt a Soldier program which provides them with free subscription access to his online program features;
Whereas during the original invasion in 2003, pilots of five different aircraft flew an American flag in Mr. Limbaughs honor during their bombing and refueling runs; and
Whereas Mr. Limbaughs commitment to American troops serving both here and abroad remains as strong as ever: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the House of Representatives
(1) recognizes Rush Hudson Limbaugh III for his support of the Marine Corp Law Enforcement Foundation and for providing free subscriptions for active-duty servicemembers;
(2) recognizes Mr Limbaughs desire to see American troops achieve a successful outcome in Iraq, Afghanistan and wherever soldiers are stationed; and
(3) commends Mr. Limbaughs tireless public support for American troops and their families through radio broadcasts, fundraising and other public support.

Oops - beat my post by 10 seconds! Great minds think alike.
Nice to see some offense.
BRAVO... Congressman Kingston!
Loved the Kingston trio. One of our fine Freeper song parody writers like Doug from Upland or someone else needs to write a parody of the Kingston trio song MTA or Tiajuana Jail to describe Dingy Harry and the democrats excoriating Limbaugh and using a Bill of Attainder which is un-Constitutional to do it to boot!
GO HOUSE!
Harry Reid is a disgrace to this nation.
If there were one ‘pub senator with a spine, they’d attach an amendment to the resolution with quotes from Reid, Kerry, Durbin, Pelosi, and the rest where they’ve insulted the troops with their defeatest talk and actively underminded their mission for political gain.
Fighting fire with fire. It’s brilliant!
Who thinks that there is a chance in hell that Speaker Pelosi will ever let this reach the House floor?
Whereas Mr Limbaugh's comments have been purposefully taken out of context, by a second rate political hack, who owes his allegiance to a third rate, left wing group of political extremists, from Bezerkely.
"While running for his Senate seat in 1984, and again while running for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1992, Tom Harkin has faced criticism for claiming that he had flown combat missions over North Vietnam. In a 1979 round table discussion with other Congressional Veterans, Harkin said of his service as a Navy pilot: One year was in Vietnam. I was flying F-4s and F-8s on combat air patrols and photo-reconnaissance support missions. These comments were later published in a 1981 book by David Broder. After subsequent inquiries by Barry Goldwater and The Wall Street Journal, Harkin clarified that that he had been stationed in Japan and sometimes flew recently repaired aircraft on test missions over Vietnam. His service flying F-4s and F-8s was later, while he was stationed in Cuba.
Hey Kerry... Rush says, “Bite me!”
UYA Media Matters!
Good.
The dems are shooting themselves in the foot again over this.
I actually hope the dems keep pushing this, because I know where it is going to take them. Off a cliff!
And I hope they keep it up. I want MoveOn et al to be arrogant as possible and put up every looney left candidate they can in the primaries. We need to lay down or jab them as necessary to keep them arrogant and think they have the upper hand.
