Thank you! (Ron Paul Collects More Then $1,000,000 in 7 Days of Fund Raising)
Ron Paul 2008.com ^ | September 30, 2007 | Kent Snyder Chairman

Posted on 10/01/2007 5:34:02 AM PDT by Hydroshock

September 30, 2007

Dr. Paul was campaigning in New Hampshire with his wife Carol and their family when our $1,000,000 goal was reached last night. As the time drew near, they watched on a laptop as the counter reached the $1 million mark. They, along with staff, supporters and volunteers throughout the country then celebrated this extraordinary accomplishment.

Over $1,000,000 raised in seven days for the Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign. Remarkable!

On behalf of Dr. Paul and every member of the campaign staff: Thank you!!

Kent Snyder Chairman Ron Paul 2008

Ron Paul has my vote based solely on his stance on illegal immigration. Here’s his platform, which goes WAY beyond anything the other candidates propose, especially on eliminating automatic citizenship for anyone born in the US (the “anchor baby” threat):

Border Security and Immigration Reform

The talk must stop. We must secure our borders now. A nation without secure borders is no nation at all. It makes no sense to fight terrorists abroad when our own front door is left unlocked. This is my six point plan:

Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

What happened to saturday morning's thread "JEWS4RONPAUL.ORG" posted by a Paulite?

Pulled by a mod who'd run out of patience with the Paulestinians.

You're welcome to post your find as an article in the news forum.

Well, obviously they get carried away with their rhetoric over there, but I can understand why they would mock that post. Advocating to sic the FCC on a bunch of freedom loving individuals, donating individually and asking for nothing in return besides their freedom?

I thought FR was once the site to rally against the FCC, to advocate to abolish McCain-Feingold, not sic it on oppposing campaigns.

I've always attempted to defend FR, when it is slandered on some of these sites, and I will continue to do so, but ya'll aren't giving me much to work with...

Then I'm sure you don't mind that Paul is saying these things, he is voting somewhat differently. For example:

Votes against putting the Military on the border
2006: H. Amdt. 206 to H.R. 1815
2004: Goode Amendment to H.R. 4200
2003: Goode Amendment to H.R. 1588
2002: H. Amdt. 479 to H.R. 4546
2001: Traficant amendment to HR 2586
2000: Traficant amendment to H.R.4205
1999: Trafficant Amendment to H.R. 1401

Or how about Paul earmarking $13Million to the NAU/NAFTA highway project (I69Trans-Texas)

Money raised up until he announces goes toward the ‘exploratory committee’ not the campaign. Different reporting rules.

I watched the debate last week, and Hunter would be a good choice after Ron Paul.

The "testing the waters" contributions are NOT included in the $8 million raised since Sept. 6.

GWOT is more like activities against piracy, but we didn’t invade and occupy counties during the actions against piracy.

The seizure of ships was a common practice during those days that usually didn’t lead to war, though it did (War of 1812 was over British seizure of ships and conscription of American sailors.)

The most we did was bomb a city and threaten to overturn a government in favor of another domestic faction, but we didn’t do anything approaching the 4 year Iraqi occupations.

It feels as if this war was a setup by the Democrats more than anything. Ted Kennedy is the ringleader to destroy are Constitution. The merits of this war has been taken out through slick liberal manipulation.

When Congress did not declare war we were bound to be attacked and discredited by the Liberals.

"You know what (whether you support Ron Paul or not..) we should be discussing IDEAS not people; if the pro war people (and I am one of them) disagree with Paul; and I do on this issue: We should make the case for the war, and against Ron Paul’s ideas-not attack him and his supporters personally..

Absolutely right!! Unfortunately, the quality of debate (and of the debaters) at FreeRepublic has decreased over the past few years. Now, rather than engage in meaningful discussion over ideas and policies many posters simply call each other names and refer to public figures they disagree with as mentally deficient. FreeRepublic has members all over the world and so is able to "scoop" almost all the conventional news organizations. For that reason alone it's worth watching. As far as political discussion goes though it's little better than DU.

Thanks. I assume they will be included somewhere in the 3-month report, as they should have been rolled into his campaign.

I live in a working class subdivision in Harris County Tx, adn I have seen 3 Paul signs already in yards.

I'd put my house up for sale and move out of that neighborhood in a hurry.

You know the old saying...once a couple of moonbats move in...well, there goes the neighborhood.

I’m in western PA and have seen several Ron Paul signs, much to my dismay, particularly along I-80 and I-79, usually in the medians near exits. Ugh. I’ve seen few other candidates signs. I personally know several Cindy Sheehan, end-the-war -now type voters who ‘love’ Murtha’s ‘stance’ on the war (gag), both Dem and Rep, and I think some of them are buying Paul’s end the war no matter what talk. I’ve also seen a number of ‘End the War’ now signs in people’s yards.

"Does FR give the other candidates equal time.."

You post what you post, sir.

Now considering the fact you've been here long enough to have already known that, just why did you post that dumb question?
