Total annual cost of illegals on taxpayers exceeds $1 billion .

LA County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich has announced that a new report shows illegal aliens and their families in Los Angeles County collected over $35 million in welfare and food stamp allocations in July.

In the report, illegals are said to have collected nearly $20 million in welfare assistance for July 2007 and an additional $15 million in monthly food stamp allocations for an estimated annual cost of $440 million.

“Illegal immigration continues to have a devastating impact on Los Angeles County taxpayers,”said Antonovich. “In addition to $220 million for public safety and $400 million for healthcare, the $440 million in welfare allocations bring the total cost to County taxpayers that exceeds $1 billion a year -- this does not include the skyrocketing cost of education.”

Billions are wired back home to Mexico. How many of the people who wire good money out of the country then apply for financial assistance programs?

They also get American driver’s licenses and American voting cards with their Mexican consult cards in ‘safe’ cities.

Welcome to Mexifornia, folks. No wonder so many lifetime Californians are moving to other states. We can't afford to pay for this huge burden to support the locusts.

Don’t forget — it’s LA. Sanctuary City. No questions asked, we bend OVER to help the illegals. Because??? Well, I think it is because they want to take the SW over and I guess we want to be part of their Grand Scheme.

No, but wait, we haven’t discussed that everybody’s vegetables cost six cents less per week because of these fine workers being in our country. Let’s keep some perspective here....................

The Fed Govt hands out the Welfare etc...but its up to the states and individual counties to control who gets the money etc...

There’s a whole lot of dont ask dont tell going on about whether or not the appliciant is here legally or not...

But if the person dfoesnt speak any English?...Ahhhhhhh would that not be an indication that he/she may not be here legally?

Just wondering...

Yep. The Open Borders Crowd keeps reassuring us just how much illegals contribute to America. They leave the financial burden out of their glowing depictions of a happy post-amnesty future.

Modern day Democrat political dogma.

And Democrat congressman Oberstar claims we need a tax increase because of a bridge crisis after the Minneapolis bridge collapse to secure the safety of road travelers?

Of course diverting funds would be out of the question.

To a liberal politician, illegals are people who are worthy of government assistance too!

CNN just ran a piece about an Hispanic, Orange County newspaper column writer whose specialty is blasting Americans...ugly racists that we are...with both barrels. All Mexicans want is a decent job in America. What’s wrong with that? (Plenty of sympathetic noises from the reporter...CNN is Clinton redux, 24/7. I get hives when I can’t find the remote fast enough.)
