The Ivys are ripe for this very attitude and behavior IMO

I guess I was referring to getting three student athletes framed by a rogue DA while the faculty, local neighbors, mayor's office, police department, and University administration either abetted or said nothing. Duke and Durham have been a tinderbox for a long time and have been written up in various college books even before this incident.(not that this could be predicted, of course)

As nutty as the Ivies are and infiltrated with PC wingnuts as they are, I doubt this would have happened in Princeton , New Jersey or Rhode Island or any of the other places. For crying out loud, you have local Durham cops throwing college kids into the brink with crack heads and rapists just for carrying an open beer can while local thugs with unlicensed guns get only a warning! Only in Durham!

Of course I wasn’t referring to Nifong and Gottleib, etc. That was a perfect storm that happened b/c of a rogue DA. The situation was made worse, however, by the 88 faculty and Brodhead (plus some other administrators). I wasn’t clear- my bad.
It was the uber lefty professors at the Ivys that I was referring to.
I think that we should also agree to disagree although we likely agree on most things (including this).
