9/28/2007 - SOUTHWEST ASIA (AFPN) -- An Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcon dropped precision munitions near Al Nussayyib, Iraq, Sept. 25 killing Abu Nasr al-Tunisi and two other al-Qaida Iraq operatives, according to Air Force officials.
They were killed when the aircraft, assigned to U.S. Central Command Air Forces, dropped two laser-guided 500-lb joint direct attack munition guided bomb unit-12 bombs, destroying the terrorist safe house where the three were meeting.
"Airpower is crucial to setting the conditions for stability in Iraq," said Lt. Gen. Gary L. North, the Combined Air Forces component commander. "Airpower overhead provides capability to the fight with precision targeting, which was used on (Sept. 25) to ensure these individuals could no longer target innocent Iraqi citizens."
Coalition Air Forces play a critical role in synchronizing and integrating day-to-day ground operations by providing close-air support, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, theater airlift, air-to-air refueling and aeromedical evacuation -- key and crucial components for the joint force commanders, joint and combined forces and the forces of NATO's International Security Assistance Force operations.
Meeting adjourned!

Done and welcome to FRWN
Dude, don’t JDAM me!
There’s been a lot of good news like this lately. Cool.
That’s a large part of what FRWN is for; to get the Truth and the Good News out there that the Lame Stream Media Refuses to cover.
SWEEEEET!
Dead is good. I prefer that to all the capturing of these foreign fighters.
Enjoy those 72 baby pigs!
“The Laser JDAM sensor is a modular kit that is easily installed in the field to the front of existing JDAM weapons. The laser sensor further enhances the highly capable Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System JDAM into one of the most mission flexible, low-cost weapons available in the world today.”

I can envision one of these things which would be activated by remote. The thingie would be encased in a bunch of flexible, sticky goo and fired out of a poofy gun (like a grenade launcher) and would then stick to the side of the target structure.
If the shooter misses, don’t activate it. If he/she (excuse me) hits it, do activate it and seek cover.
From the story above...
"dropped two laser-guided 500-lb joint direct attack munition guided bomb"
Lazer JDAMs gives the option of using either laser or GPS on the target. Ground conditions dictate which to use.
More on laser JDAMs here.
Interestingly the still shots of the attack were also put up on the 28th on the Air Force site, so maybe YouTube got is ASAP.
Here’s another video which purports to be the “full video”.

It lingers over the area longer so you can see the chunks of al-Tunisi and his comrades.
