KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Map, News) - A Kansas City police officer was suffering a diabetes-related reaction when he apparently shot a truck driver at a convenience store, the officer's attorney said Wednesday.

The officer, who has not been identified by the Police Department, doesn't remember shooting anyone on Monday night, attorney John P. O'Connor said.

"It's obvious to me there was no intent on his part to hurt anyone," O'Connor said.

Yes, my ex had anger issues. He ended up committing suicide 4 months before his 30th birthday. I don’t think the diabetes helped his problems. I did notice there were often correlations between low blood sugar and outbursts...shortly after he died, I read that diabetics had higher levels of depression than the GP.

However, one of my coworkers is diabetic and as mild mannered as they come, so there is no excuse.

Is he pushing up roses these days or does he use a walker to get around?

Diabetics can manage their disease by avoiding sugar and alcohol, and if the condition is advanced, they must monitor their blood levels, and may be required to take insulin injections.

The disease is not contagious, so is not a threat to the general public, if the person(s) suffering from the disease perform simple, basic dietary countermeasures.

A diabetic person can not safely consume sugar sweetened and/or alcohol laden beverages.

My drunken relatives think that if they can’t remember it then it never happened and they can’t be held accountable.
