Iranian former deputy defense minister Ali Rheze Asgari supplied intelligence sources in the West with information regarding the sites that Israeli jets allegedly attacked on September 6, the Kuweiti Al Jareeda reported Friday.
Asgari defected from Iran several months ago and moved to an undisclosed location in the West.
In related news, the Saudi paper Al Watan reported Friday that American jets were hovering in Iraqi airspace close to the Syrian border during the raid. Reportedly, the USAF jets were meant to give aerial backup to Israel in case IAF warplanes would come to any harm.

Why do these things get made public?
To cause Depends Moments among the mullahs and Syrians and North Koreans, and considerable inconvenience to the Russians who sold Iran and Syria their costly air-defense systems, which we've handily demonstrated are entirely ineffective.
It's a beautiful episode. God bless Israel.

Lol! Syrians don't do well against IAF warplanes.

One thing I find interesting is that our planes were on standby to protect the Israeli’s. I can imagine our pilots sitting up there saying “Come on Syria, launch your planes...............please.”

Oh, and I forgot to mention: to cause other Arab countries who might otherwise cuddle with Syria to instead clear their throats nervously, avoid eye contact, edge nervously across the room... and generally keep their distance.
Because it has been demonstrated once again that the U.S. and Israelis have pwned their biggest-spending and most modern cohort. And made it look easy.
And they’re probably more than a bit nervous about what else the defector is telling us.
Beautiful, I’m tellin’ ya...

Well, even if he didn’t, they’ll think he did, so he’s on a ‘hit list’ for sure now. lol
