WASHINGTON The US Senate has called for Irans Revolutionary Guards to be officially designated a foreign terrorist organisation, a day after the House of Representatives passed a similar measure.
The Senate on Wednesday voted 76-22 for the non-binding amendment sponsored by Republican Jon Kyl and independent Joseph Lieberman to place the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, or Pasdaran, on the US terrorist blacklist.

The measure is a sense of the Senate amendment. A non-binding resolution, but a great move nontheless.

A good way to keep Mahmoud out of the country.
Or.... allow him in, but without any of his guard.

“A non-binding resolution, but a great move nontheless.”
That will make it easier for Hillary to flip flop on it later on.

“Only about 28 years late.”
We missed our opportunity twice to knock them out...the first was in ‘79 and the second was in ‘82 after the Beirut Marine bombings. Unfortunately, back then we have the Soviet Union to worry about.
It’s time for Iran to pay the piper.

I doubt the USSR would have risked a nuclear war over the Ayatollah Khomeini.

Two things a lot of people don’t remember about the Beirut incident was the bombing took place the very night before the Grenada invasion, and after the bombing, the Lebanese Army dropped all their weapons and pretty much surrendered to the Soviet backed Syria- leaving us high and dry.
Someone yesterday was zotted for calling Reagan a cut and runner and he was really slapped down for not remembering the facts.

“Non-binding”... Boy, that’ll learn ‘em! They’re in for it now, by golly! We’re really committed to this, and standing behind our President!

Iran borders Afghanistan and the formerly Soviet satellite of Turkmenistan. Going to war with Iran would’ve put us dangerously close to the Soviet army.

They need to brand Islam as a terrorist org. Period.

I’d say. They’re kidding themselves too that it isn’t coming. They’ll wake up one morning and their whole air defense will be gone, and from there on out they’ll be receiving incoming as necessary. And all of their moronic boasts of what they’re going to do if attacked were shown to be hollow recently when the IDF easily took out Syria’s air defense and snatched its sacred nuclear material. How bad is that? Iran’s mad and moronic mullahs had better wake up quick.

“moronic mullahs” have a choice:
Convert to (Christianity, Buddahism, Zoroastrianism, just about anything other than Islam) or die.
