Benedict Arnold served didnt he?

Not only served, but served with distinction, and was a genuine war hero. In fact, it's not going too far to say that he saved the colonial army from defeat at one point. Check into his service during the battle of Lake Champlaign (sp?).

Of course, later on he turned traitor.

I am positive all branches of the service have similar ratings.

Marine Corps uses specialty, as in MOS, military occupational specialty (IIRC). No "rating" or proficiency. 0311 is a grunt, 0811 a cannon cocker, etc.

Another MSM lie. Limbaugh was talking about Jessie McBeth, convicted of telling lies about the Army and now in prison.

Oh yea, the Air Force brass that my friend spoke with thought my story was just too funny.
I loved Texas and in the end I was very to have been there but I really wanted to go over seas for a while.

Rush was saying earlier in the show that its times like this that he wishes his father were still around to see this.

His son being the center of attention on Capitol Hill.

I never did spend any time in the ZI. Went to the UK in Jan 61 and rotated back Jan 64. When it was time to be reassigned the AF had a policy of 9 months retainability needed for reassignment. What that meant was anyone with less then 9 months left on their enlistment would not be reassigned but would be discharged.

It got even better when we landed at McGuire AFB. Usually it takes about 7-10 days for separation and during that time the troops waiting just hang out and pull details like policing the base, driver duty etc, depending on rank. But when my crown landed they were really short of barracks space and nowhere to put us so they rushed everything and had us out of there in 48 hours.

I wonder if this veterans against the Afghanistan and Iraq war has been influenced by the George Soros’ anti-war group VoteVet? I think there is a connection and they have been orchestrating all of this. By the way, the DemonRATs man and Presidental candidate, Wesely Clark is on the board for VoteVet.

Not just typical Dems. There is a pattern here of harassing conservative talk show hosts in an effort to silence them. Just to review:

- There are calls to restore the Fairness Doctrine
- A report is made public stating that talk radio is “unbalanced”
- Imus is fired for remarks - the sort of remarks that he’s said in the past and he’s been paid handsomely to make
- Michael Savage’s studio is surrounded by a howling mob calling him a bigot for statements about illegal aliens
- O’Reilly is targeted for supposed racist slurs
- Now this with Limbaugh...

All I can do now is drop names and list concepts. Antonio Gramsci. Saul Alinsky. The Clinton war room. George Soros.

The Left is in this to win, and not just be victorious, but obliterate the opposition. Remember the old Clinton approach - deny the allegation, deflect blame, and destroy the opposition. They are willing to win in 2008 at all costs.

Eventually they’ll target us once they have sufficient power to do so. It’s what Leftists have done for more than 100 years wherever they’ve gained power and control. Maybe I’m being overmelodramatic, but I don’t think so.

To: Always Right

The producers defiantly stood by their bogus story and the president of CBS defended the broadcast. After recounting the sorry episode of journalistic malpractice, Burkett wrote: “Why won’t Rather and CBS admit their ‘documentary’ was a fraud, that it perpetuated an unwarranted, false picture of men who fought in Vietnam?”

Sounds like lies and slander are a proud tradition at cBS.

“This is why I won’t be voting for republicans next year.”

Your logic excapes me. You would rather have another Clintoon in the Oval Orifice and a Congress with both houses 2/3rds or more Dims? We aren’t Facist enough for you yet?

Voting for Republicans that you want to see win must begin now - vote out the DIRC’s and vote in RealRepublicans.

NOTE: DIRC = Democrats in Republican’s Clothing. This is much more discriptive than RINO.

It would at least finally get us out of Claire Wolfe's "awkward time."

Seeing the performance of former Senator Rick Santorum vis' a vis' Specter cured me of any such delusions.

Republican and Conservative are not synonymous terms.

“Republican and Conservative are not synonymous terms.”

You are correct, of course. In one matter that the President has much say, it is less dangerous for the President to be Republican than it is to be Democrat - court, especially Supreme Court, appointments. This is generally true even if the Republican President proves himself to be a lot less conservative than he might have pretended to be during the campaign season.

We already have a Hillary Clinton appointment on the Supreme Court - Ruth Bader Ginsberg - we really do not need any others like her.

I see no reason to believe either the republicans have the stomach for, or the democrats will permit, an actual idealogical shift of the SCOTUS.

We've gotten all we're going to get on that front.
