Richmond, VA - Governor Kaine, shocked and surprised by the language his appointee used at pro-Muslim rallies. Video of those rallies appeared on YouTube. At times, Dr. Esam Omeish praises "the jihad way." Now, Dr. Omeish is off the State Commission on Immigration.

Dr. Esam Omeish, President, Muslim American Society - "There is no difference between Muslim life, Christian life, or Jewish life."
Much of what Dr. Omeish says sounds positive.
Dr. Omeish - "May God bless those who love peace and justice."
Other comments, however, have a decidedly different tone.
Dr. Omeish - "We cannot allow others to hold us hostage, allow an Israeli agenda that controls our Congress to keep us hostage."
Dr. Omeish - "The deliberate targeting of civilians through the barbaric, indiscriminate, disproportionate Israeli war machine is indeed criminal and must end now."
Governor Kaine hadn't seen the clips. But was disturbed when he heard what was in them.
Governor Tim Kaine (website) - "Someone speaking favorably about the Jihad way is, I mean, that is not appropriate. It certainly doesn't represent in my view the view of Muslim-Americans in Virginia. And I know many Muslim-Americans who would find that very troubling. And I find it very troubling, as well."
Governor Kaine says he chose Dr. Omeish because he's an esteemed physician. He says they did look into his background. Apparently, they forgot to check YouTube.
Dr. Omeish - "There's no such thing as Islamic fascism!"
Governor Kaine first heard about these comments during a call to his radio show Thursday morning. He's now looking for a replacement for Dr. Omeish. The doctor, meanwhile, is saying his words were taken out of context, saying his comment about the jihad way was not a call for violent attacks, but a reference to spiritual struggle.

This is good ammunition to use against Kaine when he runs for any other public office. It’s his “macaca” moment.
maybe not... he asked for Omeish’s resignation just 3 hours after hearing about the tape.
Omeish can say that he was “misinterpreted, but the primary aim of jihad is the expansion and defense of the Islamic state.
Any Jews interested in having him being their surgeon?

I guess he didn’t understand Muslims are allowed to lie to us....the Karfir. Maybe now he will check up on what Muslims are actually saying or not saying to us.
“caught on tape” is a rather disingenuous way for this reporter to state the facts.
Omesh was a featured rabble-rouser at the ANSWER rally in DC on Sept 15. cspan videoed and aired the rally. Even the placard on front of the podium was disconcerting - the letters MAS (Muslim American Society) inside a red crescent - announcing them as a sponsor of the event.

Not possible, that is, if one truly holds to the mandates of Islam. Our Founding Fathers and Mohammad are antithetical.

The FBI and the federal 9/11 commission concluded that two of the Sept. 11 hijackers briefly worshiped at the mosque after one of them befriended its imam in San Diego. FBI officials have said they found no evidence that the imam, who has since resigned and left the country, had prior knowledge of the attacks.
That was a very good move and the right thing to do, though it doesn't negate the original poor vetting. What will be interesting is what happens when the pressure is turned up.
Omeish is having a press conference today. If he simply defends himself as misunderstood blah blah and then fades away, Kaine is probably home free.
OTOH if he does the usual and starts accusing Kaine of racism and anti-Islam religious persecution, Kaine will have to react. If he waffles, softens, or caves due to being PC, he's vulnerable. If he stands by his guns, the vast majority of Americans will stand up and cheer.
