...whose images remain seared in his memory decades later.

I hope this was a better job of searing that the one John Kerry did on himself.

You can right now! Visit the Forestiere Underground Gardens on West Shaw. We went there many years ago. It was a fun visit.

He designed it to bring cool breezes in during the summer, and to pick fruit (from the treetops) at ground level.

You can right now!

The facility has been closed to tourists intermittently due to a long running family dispute. Because of it's rich history, this small property should be acquired by the taxpayers for preservation.

Baldasare was not the only early, San Joaquin Valley resident who sought relief from the summer heat by going underground, but his is one of the last remaining examples of this late, 19th century accommodation. Few spring porches remain either.

Kurt Russel is one of my favorite actors. He’s also a conservative.

Nah...they owned a book store. I used to stop in there and browse in the late 70’s - early 80’s. Nice folks. Completely rspectable place. Lots of books and newspapers. Just a ‘MoM & Pop’ shop.

Seriously, that is a really interesting story!

Tunneling seems to be as old as history. Hiding from enemies, caching booty, illicit activities...it is interesting stuff.

Thanks for the update. It’s too bad that we humans must fight over a treasure such as this. It should be valued for its significant design and use for future dwellings, not its monetary value.

This man created his own bit of Eden, if you will. His heart lives on in his work.

“...either that, or he got shipped to Syria.”

When we find the WMD’s buried/hidden in Syria, we will find Jimmy Hoffa? Did he provide the teamstering to get them there from Iraq? :)

I’m sticking with “he never existed”.

That makes it easier to support attacks on the administration without having to actually prove anything.

Thanks Dave. I thought I'd seen a topic about this, but I guess I'd just saved it to the flash drive or hard drive. :')
