It was my impression from reading a couple of accounts that it wasn’t the Israelis that shut the system down, but that it didn’t function. I gather you are saying the Syrians purposely turned it off...rather than risk having key components destroyed?? Wonder why they would turn the switch to “OFF”?

The report I read stated that the system quit functioning altogether. My take was that the Israelis either cut a key power or communications junction through special ops, or the system simply failed to function. It could easily have been someone ordering it turned off to protect his assets also. As I said, it was a confusing translation.

Regarding the "72 female and 28 male virgins equaling 100 in total", I have not found the verse, but from memory it says that they shall be laid out like sheets of paper, one next to the other. I found some general boy-loving verses though:
Koran 52:24
Round about them will serve, to them, boys (handsome) as pearls well-guarded.
Koran 56:17
Round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness.
Koran 76:19
And round about them will serve boys of perpetual freshness: if thou seest them, thou wouldst think them scattered pearls.
I love the part about "perpetual freshness", as if young boys get stale, or have a "molest by" date.
