It would be an interesting feature of an employees first day: sign a contract, fill out a W-2 and roll up your sleeve for your microchip injection.
Sounds like sci-fi, but its happened, and now a handful of states are making sure their citizens will never be forced to have a microchip implanted under their skin.

Other VeriChip human implants have been used by a Spanish nightclub to allow VIPs with implanted chips to bypass entrance lines
Now this might be the best use ever for these.
Seriously some of the uses they list sound very helpful, but making someone get one just to keep track of them is a little much.

There is a direct corelation between RFID implants and cancer in animals.

When I clicked on the link to StateLine.org, I got an ad for “performanceoptimizeer.org” which REFUSED to be deleted. I shut down my computer, only to find that it would not shut down, and the darn ad kept coming back. There was no way to get rid of it. I finally “forced closed” Safari to get away from the ad.

Big BrotherNah. You can "turn the chips off" by simply getting into a lead-lined coffin.
