"It is very, very sad when it happens," she said. "But there is something about that sadness. It stretches your heart and emotions. You find yourself capable of feeling deeper happiness."

Yet the culture of death prefers slaughter for the sake of "convenience."

One of the first things that Hitlerycare would do is mandate terminating pregnancies of such children.

She would probably get lots of support from rinos also because, after all “we would be saving $$$ in the long run.”

This is where I’d guess 80 to 90% of America rightfully peals away from pro-lifers, and many only side against them now because they are suspicious that laws against this is their eventual goal.

The amniocentesis is 100 percent accurate

Baloney.

There have been quite a few reported cases where amniocentesis said the baby was Down's, the mother refused to abort, then gave birth to a healthy baby.

"Do we want a world with no people in it who challenge our strongest notions of diversity?"

FWIW, some people use similar arguments against treating children to correct deafness.

Once we've found a test for every genetic/hereditary disease, we'll need to find a test that can predict who will be mentally +/or physically handicapped from a future accident.

We can only allow perfect humans to exist! /sarc.

parents will be branded as sinners or made to feel socially irresponsible for bringing their children into this world," she wrote.

Yes. There is a real danger that people will be disdained.

People are naive. Population control freaks would use these tests to prevent perfectly healthy people from being born.

The Downs syndrome test has produced false positives. Most of the birth defects which people fear are rarer than false positives.

I wish people would concentrate on making their communities and themselves more perfect instead of trying to make other people live up to foolish expectations of perfection.

Eradicating ailments - from deafness to polio to AIDS - is the very heart of what medicine seeks to do. In the past, researchers who cured or eased human suffering in any form were proclaimed heroes.

A whole lot of ailments & conditions could be "eliminated" using the elimination of people who are inflicted method.

My mama (IQ over 170) taught me that in the sight of God, none of us are all that clever, but He loves us anyway.

Breed like animals, and you’ll get animals: the blond beasts that the Nazis wanted. Clever monsters, with hearts like insects.

Besides, if you’re looking to make a perfect human being, try getting married. That should keep you busy.

Do you support eugenics?

Heavens no! My point, this is no "cure" being talked about, but the elimination of people & I find that to be quite sickening.

Thanks for the clarification, I was a little concerned.

The entire eugenics movement is based upon the presumption that God either doesn’t exist or is fallible. It is a lie.

Unless we are killed in an accident at a young age, all of us will sooner or later be faced with some disease or illness that will ultimately result in our deaths. This is neither good nor bad, it is simply life the way He intended it.

I agree, it is. Another lie that it is based upon is that society can be made better by it, when in truth it cheapens all human life. More comfort and ease may be gained, but it comes at a huge cost that begins with the belief that some lives have more value than others. The collectivist mindset hates all individuals, but hates most of all any who are too different.
