Much less well known is his distant cousin, William the Concurror, who was less aggressive and more agreeable. I believe William the Conqueror was a cousin to Edward the Confessor and Ethelred the Unready.
It was really a pity historically that Godwin had Alfred the Aetheling blinded and murdered.
