...how thin the veneer of civilisation really is, and how quickly a
community can find itself between the covers of Lord of the Flies.


I would be suprised if Lord of The Flies is on the reading list
of many high-school English/lit. classes these day.

It would just introduce too much cognitive dissonance for teachers
and students raised on the Atheistic Gospel of Innate Human Goodness.

For like reasons, I'm surprised Milgram's study is as well known as it is.
