The Nazis had a quite realistic chance of conquering the world. Without Churchill to rally the British to fight on when it looked utterly hopeless, they probably would have pulled it off. With no western front to worry about, they would almost certainly have taken Moscow and dismembered the USSR. Once that happened, the only thing that could have prevented their eventual conquest of the rest of the world would have been US nukes.
Despite my asking for over five years now, nobody has yet presented a realistic scenario whereby Islamists conquer the world. These are utterly incompetent people in a military sense, who cannot even manufacture their own simpler weapons. That’s no way to win a war.
Now, it is conceivable the rest of the world could just surrender to them. But even that seems unlikely, given the unrelieved bleakness of the lifestyle they promote. And if it happens, it tells us much more about the unwillingness of the rest of the world to fight, even in self-defense, than it does about the danger of the enemy. IOW, we collapsed because
IMHO, a far more likely scenario is that they will keep being an increasingly more severe irritant till the rest of the world insists on major surgery to remove them.
BTW, the “good cop/bad cop game” is our game (admittedly a really stupid one), not theirs. It ends whenever we refuse to play along.
It's not a conventional war. But you can see their first successes in the total PC meltdown we have going here, where to criticize Islam, or the actions of Muslims, it not generally allowed, and how we extensively cater to to Muslims. They can win simply on the coattails of our own liberals winning.

In the west we've become victims of our own dynamism which promises a solution to all problems through technology, and our humanism which leads us to believe we are the measure of all things. We want our murder mysteries solved in an hour, our illnesses, aches and pains cured or prevented by a shot or a pill, and our packages delivered overnight. Because our own lives have become increasingly busy and hectic, we have, as a society, lost sight of events that occurred before our lifetimes and tend to place very little focus on what occurs beyond our retirement years apart from, perhaps a will.
Moslems have, for lack of a better term, a "borg-like" assimilationist mentality. If you haven't read Londonistan by Melanie Philips, I would highly recommend it. In the US we typically have to win our wars (or at least demonstrate substantial progress) before the next election. Moslems have no such pressure and can operate much more incrementally than a western society. As clearly evident in western Europe today, they are staging a demographic takeover, and I would suspect that within most of our lifetimes, we'll see the islamization of more than one European Nation...and their perfectly content to take us over one nation at a time.
And YET the Nazis conquered NOTHING.
They did not survive WW2 as an ideology, though of course
the Soviets did. Japan got the brunt of it all, and changed forever as a culture.
The Islamists could find any number of ways to continue on
being the Blight of the 21st Century, and not the least of those ways involve slow but steady legitimization through political representation, and our “certification” of Islam through “players” like CAIR and all the other anti-American pressure/interest groups we’d be seriously better without, and against whom some kind of campaign should have started ALREADY.
But, yeah, good cop/bad cop is a game that continues as long as we countenance it. As long as it serves some political purpose for both Democrats and Republicans to exploit, it will continue, and grow, but very slowly, as we become like that fabled frog that gasps for air as the water around him gets warmer and warmer, and we find we’re “boiled alive”. And there are only a few current candidates who offer ANY hope of dealing with their threat on ANY level. ANd BTW, there will be no radical surgery from us or the rest of the world to “rid ourselves of Islam”, if by that you’re talking about a concerted military/police offensive to literally kill them all.
Remember that the flaccid response in the UK to the bus and subway bombings was stepped- up police action, surveillance, more rhetoric, etc., NOT EVEN THE ENTIRELY HUMANE RESPONSE OF DEPORTATION, which is apparently UNTHINKABLE.....
Oh, and BTW, whatever the Nazis were able to do in Europe by way of “conquest”, if you think that they could have been successful in conquering America, once our Generals
“surrendered”, then you are seriously deluded. Just as seriously deluded for thinking our Generals would ever have surrendered in the first place.
How, pray tell, could Germany have “established” itself as the new ruler of America, even with the “mighty” German-American Bund licking their lips in the wings?
It would have been the American Revolution all over again, but with a million times more Patriots than Loyalists.
Don’t forget the traditions we have in this country.
