I also feel that some uses of eminent domain are legitimate. Utilities are vitally important. Life as we know it will cease with out electricity, it is as necessary as food and water. while I agree that limited eminent domain has a purpose, I wonder how these people are surviving without electricity till the lines are run???

The new lines may be for backup and for future growth. The lesson from the big blackout a few years ago is that the system needs upgrading.
